Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I had the heads off there were no ridges at the top of the bores and the leakdown test I did after the heads were refreshed were in the 2-3% range.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

'99 with 211k miles out here in SoCal: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...270982143.html Anyone seen one higher?

POST 2Original post

Doesn't look like it runs. Cars with ****ty adds, and parked inside automotive shops on sale for LOWEST prices are usually broken regardless of mileage. And I saw higher mileage ones on the Ebay. All 99s. German Ebay has plenty of 120k+ miles 996s for sale. And if you look at it, most high mileage 911s in Germany are 996s. So obviously SUM TING WONG with American perception of 996s. http://www.ebay.de/sch/Automobile-/9...1%2520km&rt=nc

And most of the high-km 996 spent good chunk of their lives on the fast lanes of our Autobahn at speeds >> 65 mph.

My '99 is slightly higher. Almost 340K Kilometres

POST 6Original post

Why won't the frunk close? And, he didn't even spell the name of the city correctly. It's Ontario, CA, not "Onterio." A car to avoid.

POST 7Original post

Yeah, but it's got a "Manuel" transmission. I guess that's to match the "Juan" engine.

Mine is normal, nothing unusual. When I had the heads off there were no ridges at the top of the bores and the leakdown test I did after the heads were refreshed were in the 2-3% range.
