Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I currently have the silver center caps that say Carrera 4 - should I get the full color Porsche Crest center caps instead? And will that give me an extra 20HP?

POST 2Original post

it's four too many logos for me - hood badge is all i need

POST 3Original post

I just bought a new set of the larger Porsche logo caps for my summer wheels. I like them. I have "4S" center caps on my winter wheels. The logos look good.

POST 4Original post

While I like the Porsche crests I think the Carrera 4 or C4S logo's look pretty cool.

POST 5Original post

If you get the crests and want to sell the C4 centers PM me. I might be interested.

POST 6Original post

Yes, especially if you get them in color. It's a nice, classy touch. ///Michael

It's amazing - I am 100% sure I will be the only person to notice them - wife probably won't...but that's all that matters! BTW after looking at a friends car over the wknd with the fabspeed tips, I decided to stay with the factory ovals....

POST 8Original post

I have been thinking about selling mine . I can get you more pictures.

POST 9Original post

Quotes source post: 7480153

You should buy these from Scott! Since they are coming off a GT3, your C4 is guaranteed to gain 30 HP!

POST 10Original post

Quotes source post: 7480084

Really? You don't like the way they look compared to stock? I have been contemplating buying the fabspeed tips. Interested in you opinion.

POST 11Original post

Quotes source post: 7480262

I have received quite a few compliments on the "quad" Fabspeed tips, and I am happy with the look. But the stock ones looked good as well.

POST 12Original post

Quotes source post: 7480084

good call. i haven't seen better than OEM tips on the carrera and c4s (overlapping ovals)

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 7480262

I guess it is in the eye of the beholder... but so here was the scenario this weekend. We were parked side to side: A 997 C4S with quad tips from factory A 996 C4 with Mk2 factory tips A 996 C2 with fabspeed quad tips I couldn't help but to notice how beautfiully the factory quad tips blended into the bumper of the 997 c4s. The fabspeed next to the it looked a little out of place in the c2... And then my factory ovals looked somehow just right... Maybe it was the light - dunno...

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 7480065

I agree, they look classy.

POST 15Original post

I absolutely agree that the factory tips blend with the bumper openings much better than any aftermarket tip.

POST 16Original post

Absolutely, get the Porsche Crest Centers in colors, I think Vertex has them, I bought mine from wheel enhancements and paid too much.

POST 17Original post

I've had the colored crests on all my Porsches and they do look great.

POST 18Original post

I just bought a new set from Suncoast Porsche. They were around $170 for a new set of four. Here's what they new style look like:

Hummmm..... +30 HP for $125. MUCH better deal than a CAI for $600 which gets you a measly 10 HP gain! Damn, if these would fit on my Honda, they would double my HP!

There is a way to send money via paypal without incurring the 3 % fee if the sender and recipient are confident with each other on the transaction and no paypal protection is required.. send the money via a personal transaction rather than a Purchase transaction. it will save buyer and seller the 3% hassle.
