Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey what's the deal with fire extinguishers in these cars anyway? I know it is a factory option. But are these cars prone to spontaneous combustion or something?

It is kind of pretty. If you do go ahead with NOS and supercharger like you have planned, might be a good idea to have along
PS: Have you ever seen such bad roads in the metro area as this winter? jeez. Must be a bad year for freeze-thaw or something.
i am abandoning the SC (not worth it in my opinion) but still considering the NOS.....
ps: Agreed but still happy the snow and ice melt ASAP
taking my car for allighnment in St louis park on friday they quoted around $85.00
How are steering wheel covers, tire covers and ricer fire extinguishers considered "mods"?
To each their own I guess.. but maybe just create one thread forall these awesome accessories instead of one for each..
Safety? IMO If you're not racing, the thing is more likely to SkullFu** you in an accident than it is actually going to be used to put out your flaming engine.
Save your money for real mods. Or buy a friggin Honda and put all the crap you want to on it.
fire extinguishers in automobiles is always good to have...period. how you mount or store them is another issue. i know of two rennlist members here who's car caught on fire. one was a 996 c2 and the other was a 996tt.
I'm a transplanted Fl boy...been in St Paul for the winter(?) Jeeeez. Hit a pothole with my DD and lost a fog light. Lucky I didn't break a rim! And this was downtown. Didn't mean to steal the thread. I think the fire extenguisher is cool and practical, too.
For probably the past 20 years each of my "cars" has had a fire extinguisher on board. Only had use twice, the first time to break a driver's side window of a car setting alongside the freeway on fire interior filled with smoke. Wanted to be sure no one was trapped inside and no one was.
The second time was an engine fire alongside the road and we, WSP and I, couldn't get the hood open so we discharged the fire extinguishers from underneath.
Boy scout, be prepared.
It's your car and your money but I'd be inclined to skip the fancy fire extinguisher and spend a little extra to have one of the indy Porsche shops do your alignment.
