Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Re: selling the car
To take the famous quote aimed at shoeless Joe and direct to Chad:
Say it ain't so Chad.....say it ain't so
!!!
You'll be back when the time is right. I sold my motorcycle when my first born arrived. Got one 6 years later.
Maybe a 998 GT3 when the time is right?
good luck dude. you and your mods will be missed. let us know what you end up with. i'm sure you'll be modding the hell out of it too. evo8 on the way ?
if you have all the old stuff maybe you should part out. you can recoup some of the costs.
Thanks guys. I am still trying to find out if I can make it work. If I can, I will keep you guys posted. In the meantime, the car is for sale. And yep...it does have the PSE.
Chad
Nope. I'll box'em up.
Note on those, They are in great shape, but they were intended for track use. I cleaned them up. Most of the rubber marks came off, but I found that one of the fronts has a couple nicks on it. The rest are great, no curbage. Nice and straight.
Chad
Chad, sorry to see you go and do this (though i do understand..) One question, your comment on the 6'6", why arnt you fitting? Your car sounds perfect, and since i am 6'5" and looking for a car set up JUST like yours, fill me in? Where was the trouble?
It's the helmet / seat fitments. I fit without a helmet. My legroom is great and once I put the seats in, I just wasn't confortable. My helmet scuffs the roof and the fit is strange. The brackets I received from Speedware fit, but are weird. Hard to explain without expereicing it.
Also, like I mentioned before, there are some other issues involved. My wife and I are expanding the family in a few months, and I want to explore my own business (among other things). So, as much as I like the 996, it has to go. And note, it's only going to a good home.
Chad
Chad,
Could you post (or send me) pictures of the wheels. I might be interested. On another note, I'm sorry to hear that things haven't worked out for you but I certainly understand as I have two little ones (both girls) myself and I'd do anything for them. Let us know what you end up with and what sory of groovy mods you come up with for it!
Hey Chad...
I can just imagine what you must be feeling like. Sometimes the choices are tough but you always got to do what's right for the family. They always come first. I know you'll get another Porsche one day.
I am sorry to see you go, but i guess i am happy your doing it for the right reasons, Good Luck with whatever you choose to do, and I think i speak for all of the rennlisters when i say ....we better see you back here one day..............or else!
BTW... I have the H&R spacers he sold me. I can not use them. If anyone wants them please e-mail me or PM me.
2 H&R 6mm spacers with bolts. $100 shipped.
These bolts will not fit my wheels. They are not OEM bolts. If I had a picture I would post them but I don't
They basically look the same as far as the top part of the bolt goes but on the bottom side instead of it being an accorn shape it's flat. I'm not sure what wheels they fit but they don't/won't fit mine.
if chad did not describe the spacer/bolt setup to you accurately i suggest that you return it to him for refund! yes i don't have all the facts but it sounds like it was misrepresented.
