Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

It would make me very nervous racing a little bike with the visibility out of the 996...I wonder if the rider took it easy for fear of getting run over....

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This has probably been posted in the past, but I came across this Jeremy Clarkson video comparison of a 996 C4 vs a bike on a road course - it's fun viewing - I won't spoil it by saying who won! Enjoy. Link to vid Best to right or control click as this is a 7MB file.

POST 4Original post

Pretty cool, would'uv never guessed. It would make me very nervous racing a little bike with the visibility out of the 996...I wonder if the rider took it easy for fear of getting run over....

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A biker with fear? I thought that went against the whole bike thing!

POST 7Original post

That was great; I thought the bike would smoke the 996, who knew? K

POST 9Original post

Clarkson's commentary was pretty to the point. Especially the part about a C4 going slower than a C2 on a dry track and letting the rice rocketeers know the truth. See where the bikes are at The Ring.

POST 11Original post

Okay, the cookie at the beginning. Was that really a C4?

POST 12Original post

I watched this some time ago. In the opening intro the motorbicycle come in tire smoking and stops by the host; then the 996 comes in and does a burnout and 180 or so. Forgive my ignorance as I have only owned and driven rwd porsches, how did he do it?

POST 15Original post

You can do it, you just have to turn off PSM. I was always amazed at how much of a difference the PSM makes with the C4. haha
