Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi. Yes, I'm a noob. No, I don't have the requisite photos handy. But I shall do my best to post them soon. I'm writing in hopes of clarifying the mystery of wheel spacing. I have an '03 C4S. The tire and wheel size is 8x18et50 front, 11x18et45 rear (thank you C4Surgeon for the specifics!). I have the opportunity to purchase snow tires and wheels in 18" size that are front -- 7.5JX18 ET50 99336213406 and rear -- 10JX18 ET65 99336214004. My question is can I buy the spacers necessary to make these fit? My dealer has been of no assistance, saying, "Well, yeah, probably we could make 'em fit . . ." Thanks in advance, Love the list, Doug

POST 2Original post

The fronts should be fine. The rears just test fit the wheel to see if it clears the caliper. If it does, then dont worry, if it does not, then you can run a spacer. We sell spacers. Also you might want to check out our wheel deal from LUFF. Cheap!!!

POST 3Original post

The factory spacers to adapt the sport technos to the widebody 996 should work for the rear. H&R and many others sell wheel spacer kits

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
