Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone have an extra brass nut within the rubber isolater, that helps attach the plastic lining (that covers the brake booster) under the trunk to the body?. The threads on mine are all messed up and I cannot find the part number for this piece. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

can you post a photo? I may have one some where in my garage.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I will try to snap a pic for you later this week when I have the car out. It is just a little brass nut that sits in a rubber grommet. The one torx bolt that holds down the plastic screws into this nut.

POST 4Original post

I think this is the part you are talking about. They are all over the car. What actually happens is the nut separates from the rubber over time or from over tightening, making it seem like it is stripped. 99950007800 $4.20 MSRP at your local Porsche dealer is probably your cheapest option since you don't have to pay to ship it (although you can get it online elsewhere for around $2.50).

Yuo that looks like the piece! Thank you very much!

POST 6Original post

It's called a well nut, sold in metric and USS/SAE sizes. Home Depot, Lowe's most all local fastener, nut and bolt, local hardware stores, many auto parts stores will stock them. Usually less than a $1 to slightly over oe whatever the market will bear. I've bought and used them for decades.
