Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Last time I drove my Targa out was 3 weeks ago and had start to warm up the car in weekly bases. Last Sunday, I took the air filter out to check and then put it back in but didn't start the car. Earlier today, I start the car to warm up and the check engine light is on. Last time I had the check engine light on was before the battery went dead.
I checked all the screws and connector on the intake box and everything seems fine. What could possibly be wrong?
Thanks!!!
Thank you redridge! I just disconnected and reconnected the battery and the light went off. I will take the car out tomorrow for a spin see how it goes.
Thanks for the tip!
Code readers are cheap $100. You can read and erase your codes and take a lot of anxiety out of that little light going on. You also get a reason the light went on.
I keep mine in the trunk, ready wherever I am. I also carry a list of the codes from
RennTech.org.(you have to make a donation to get the list).
Where is a good place to purchase the code reader / scanner? I also received a faulty indicator code form oil pressure gauge and going to replace the pressure sender unit.
If you have a laptop, something like
this
will be a LOT more versatile and cheaper too! You can read the MAF, coolant temp, fuel trim, etc. in addition to reading and clearing codes.
Thanks Ahsai! I have a laptop but is macintosh so doesn't seem like it works on mac.? I will just get the one from Amazon since it is good enough to solve the problem I have. ^ ^
