but i think instead of using those cup car style winglettes you see in the pic to mount it, i'll use the aerokit II.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone have this on their car? Pic below is taken straight from their site... Was wondering if anyone's seen it in person or has any first hand experience... Think it might look better on a darker car than a lighter car with all the vents it has.. Opinions on it?
looks like a lot of people like the bumper..
I wandered back onto the Mashaw site again and for some reason, it didn't look TOO bad the second time around.. I think it's because I've been addicted to these forums and getting sick of everyone having the same exact kit (including me!)
All good though, I just wish there were more options for body kits other than your aero/tt/gt2 choices...
I've always been a big fan of the GT3 RSR Supercup cars but, yeah, this bumper is a bit over the top for a road car.
Have you checked out the RUF aerokits? I am really happy with mine. I decided to get the kit to differentiate my car from the 6 other Porsches in my condo and office garages.
i'm probably going 2 be getting that, since there are no really good kits that i know of for the pre-facelift. Also going to get the car resprayed to either white or black.
yeah i've taken that into consideration and have come up with 2 solutions (keeping in mind that i have no intention of selling it, not in this market, but will keep it and drive it till its wheels fall off)
1) since pretty much every panel will be replaced except the sunroof and maybe the doors, i can just paint the new panels, and roof/doors in the desired color and add them on. that way i'll have all the original paneling.
2)i can document the process and have the reciepts and snap some pics of the car being painted that way i can show that it was being painted for style, not repairs
I like the bumper, but I would be worried about the aerodynamics downforce and lift. For simular reasons I like the gt2 wings and I think the turbo look wings are ok, but I remember someone saying that it made the car squirly at speed etc., and I do see 150 here and there.
^ squidgyness is a byproduct of having only a spoiler and no front spoiler or vice versa. or using horribly mismatched kits.
since the front on that was designed 2 work with that cup car wing..shouldn't be a problem.
^ yeah. but i think instead of using those cup car style winglettes you see in the pic to mount it, i'll use the aerokit II. that was i can alternate between AerokitII wing, GT3 RS and the cup car one, depending on what the style and top speed requirements dictate.
here's the cup wing on a gt3 styled car.
i gotta say tho.. the GT street wing that techart uses is very nice. plus i love way they've matched the black/blue.
^ hehe..its not supposed to be. its supposed 2 get the message across to cocky f-car owners and overly ambicious civic tuners that if you're gonna step up, the porsche will eat our car for lunch comming around the next corner, so signal and move over
LOL! Hey Since you're considering Mashaw, which I hear has great kits for fit and finish you might throw the price that
www.revozport.com
charges which someone else posed a link to. The gt3r bumper is 870 in carbon, and 600 for normal. However that place is in HK so shipping would likely take long and be great. Carbon would be pretty sick though, especially for it's resilianncy s.p.?
BTW I was able to d load the catalogue with the pics and prices from them but I don't know how to cut the photo to show that bumper etc. I can email it to you if you want. I tried to post but it's 2x the allowed size 320k or something.
yea i remember that. i think it was 800 for the GT3RS one tho no the GT3R ( i believe u posed it in another thread).
TRG Is the cheapest i've found so far and they're in north america.
Programmatore,
Yeah, I love the RUF bumper.
Definitely one of my fav full bumper replacements for 99-01 cars... As of now, I think I've pretty much decided to go with the +02 front conversion, oem turbo bumper with the RUF lip. Got to wait until summer though
