Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm posting this for a friend who tracks her 99~00 car. So for the track junkies out there, She's curious how wider than 205/50/17 can she go keeping the 225/40/17 in the back? Track guys who uses 17's has anyone installed 215s in the fronts? Any rubbing with stock suspension height? Tnx in advance.

POST 3Original post

If they are 7" the max you can put is a 215 and 255 on a 8.5

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I emailed my friend about the width of her front wheels. If she has the stock suspension, no rubbing should occur right with the 215s? TNX

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

they are 7s. it's a '99. suspension is lowered 10mm, she has the ROW M030 suspension kit on it). how wide can she go without changing the profile/height so much without rubbing. thanks!

POST 6Original post

215 is the max on the 7. Shouldn't be a rubbing problem either. I would inquire though over in the 986 forum since there are more 7 in rims over there that can comment.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks much LV Dell. Hey, do you go to VIR? If you do you would know Rebecca, sporting a pink hair and driving a silver 99 996. She's the one trying to get a wider set of front tires.
