Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Track day Tuesday at Laguna Seca, hoping for the weather to change!!! My wife went up to San Jose and the CCW are in root as well, she needed to do some shopping and they were flown into San Jose airport...win win Jerry Had to install when she got home #5 new front with old back #6 New and old back cant take it out side to wet

POST 2Original post

Sweet seats! Can't wait to see the pics of the wheels. I recall your thread about wheel sizes & offsets. Make sure you let us know the width and offsets of the wheels and your impression of the fit.

POST 3Original post

Nice job. But hate to be the safety police but are those replica seats? I don't see the crest in the headrest. No way in hell would you catch me on the track with replica anything.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Tim here are some pic I added Dell not oem, But there is a lot that is not oem....pss9, swaybars, brake pads and rotors.. jerry

POST 5Original post

Jerry, replica seats is not the same as pss9, etc. Now if you had replica pss9 then you could make the same argument. Drive at your own risk. God-willing you never meet Mr. Armco and have to pray that the shell holds up.

POST 6Original post

Jerry, Nice work. Where did you get those wheels? They look light...are they 18"? thanks, Mark

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Dell Just messing with you on the oem (tongue to cheek()... seats look good...I am installing all bolts for the 6-point off the seat and to the car and that will help take some stress out of the buckets They said they are going for testing this year... we will see? Thanks for your concern Jerry

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

M Fig The wheels are CCW 18 9" front 11" rear Hoosier R6 315 30 rear 245 40 front

POST 9Original post

tue: nasa? hope it's dry for your and the R6's.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I not going to run the R6 tuesday....I still have the stock brakes installed also. I will wait for better weather. Lotus club this month then Track masters next month...

POST 11Original post

I see you left the rear seats in. I guess you plan to take the roll bar in and out as needed? That's the advantage of the cab over the coupe. Easier to take the roll bar out, and you can jump up over the front seats to access the rear seats. I still feel a little angst over taking out my rear seats. never used them anymore, but still, supple leather and all.......

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes I will be doing the switch every track day....I have the car on track days my wife with 1/2 the kids has it the rest of the time...the funny thing is she keeps telling me just ge a track car...I'm starting to think sombody wants it 100% of the time Jerry

POST 13Original post

Nice work on the install! I wonder if LVDell knows that's his old roll bar...... It's now been through 3 Rennlist-ers Enjoy it!

POST 14Original post

Jerry, the wheels look good! Too bad you can't test everything out on Tuesday.

Amazing how small this circle of enthusiasts is! I am sure we will all have come in contact with each others items at one point or another. Good job on bolting to the body and not the seat. That should take out some of the risk of a failed replica seat.

POST 16Original post

Quotes source post: 5037046

A thought just occured to me. Did you bolt the anti-sub to the body as well, or to the seat mounts?

POST 17Original post

Sure hope it is anchored to the car and not a "sub bar" mounted to the seat rails.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Jasonfreed Hay thanks for all the help!!! and man that bar was wrapped so well, you are a P car enthusiast Jerry

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes I want to hook up to the body, I left a post on the Gt3 forum hopping for some info, but no response So I am shooting from the hip with the 6 point deal, never set one up before I will make a custom attachment to the bottom, at least now I have all the belts at my location so custom wont be that bad to figure out Jerry

POST 20Original post

I have a shroth 6 point, and they came with instructions on direct mounting. There are safe ranges on angles on the belts, to include the anti-sub. I'll scan the figures for you when I get home later today. I don't know if you realy want them, since it will mean you'll have to drill into the floor pan and reinforce. The other choice would be to manufacture a sub bar that bolts to the existing reinforced seat anchor points on the floor pan, and anchor your seats on top of that.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Palting That would be sweet, Thanks Jerry

POST 26 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
