Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

This may have been asked a bunch of times, but I've been searching for a C4S, and I think I have seen some 05's, but they were 996 style... Did it take them a year to do the C4S? Finally ready to get a 911, have to have a C4S!!!!! Mike

POST 2Original post

yes the 05 C4S was carry over 996 as was the Turbo You will find this is somewhat common for Porsche, they have done this in the past, not just the 996 to 997 cars. They were still selling 993 turbos and cabs i belive when the 996 first appeared in 1998

POST 4Original post

You can also find (though very few) 05 996 GT3s

POST 5Original post

and "1" 2005 996 GT2 whihc came to Toronto, Canada

POST 6Original post

I think the 996 C4S is unique with the turbo front, wide body without the turbo holes, red stripe in the back, and is the best looking 996, even better than the 997 C4S which looks like any other 997. But, I may just be "slightly" biased

+1 The 996 was distictive, and included upgrades like full leather at no cost. The 997 C4S doesn't bring that to the table, that's a shame.

POST 8Original post

Except the 997C4S is the wide body like the GT3RS and 997C4 or 997Targa

POST 9Original post

here are some pics of my previous 05-c4s with the aero kit...beautiful car. the 997 c4s are nice as well imo. they are actually wider than the 996 c4s and tt.

POST 10Original post

The second best looking 996. Anyone know the years it was sold?

POST 11Original post

2002-2005... 2003+ were with MOST

mis-understood the question, the c4s cab was what I wanted to know

POST 14Original post

I'm pretty sure the 996 C4S cab was '04 and '05 only. See: http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...08/188452.html

POST 15Original post

Since we are posting pix of our C4S's I would have to agree.... my favorite bodystyle of a 911 to date

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Looks like I am attracting all the C4S owners... Is it lower than a regular 996? I have very steep rounded curbs in my driveway. My wifes CLK430 will hit the spoiler in front if you back out straight. Mike

I can come by (when and if it ever stops snowing) so we can test it. Chris

Though the C4S comes with sport suspension standard, ride height is the same as regular 996. Anyway, don't back out straight!
