Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an extra set of rims that I'm going to paint, trying to decide which ones look better. The all black is kinda tough and it would be much easier to paint. What do you like better?

POST 2Original post

Polished rim is much nicer... I vote for number 2.

POST 3Original post

I have to go with the polished lip as well...I've never been a huge fan of the ALL black. Need some seperation from the tire.

POST 4Original post

Depends on the purpose of the rim. If it was for the track then the all black looks pretty cool. But I have to agree, the polished rim looks better.

POST 5Original post

Polished looks good as long as I quit thinking of white walls?

POST 7Original post

The polished rim reminds me of whitewalls (sorry guys). All black is a real statement - not easy to like for some, which is why it's a bold statement. If this is a second set of wheels, and your first set is a more traditional alloy color, you should definitely go all black.

POST 12Original post

all black..but i don't really like the wheel design much for either! ...just my 2 cents.

POST 14Original post

I am not a big fan of painted wheels, but the Polished lip looks better, IMO! I think you need something else in the background to help give some definition to the painted wheels. Paint your brake calipers RED! That combination would be AWESOME!

POST 15Original post

Try the black and to brake it up use silver lug nuts and use a 1/4 inch red stripe around the rim lip.
