Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, I am trying to find a warranty provider for 1999 996, but there seems to be no reputable provider for 1999 models. Has anyone found one that you have been happy with? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

Do you already own the 99? If not, then I suggest CPO. If you do own it, you are better off self-insuring.

POST 3Original post

I have a warranty on my 99. I got it thru General Electric Financial Auto Warranty Services. Haven't used it yet, but it seems reputable and pretty comprehensive. As long as you have less than something like 88K miles, you can get coverage on seals and gaskets also.

POST 4Original post

How much did that run? Is it too late for me to buy if my motor already blew?

POST 5Original post

yes :> i tried that.. most all third party guarantee companies require a pre-inspection to make sure all is working, then 30 days before you can enact the warranty.. and for ALL major costs, usually $1000+ they send out an indy rep to check on the part to see all is up and up.. so your blown engine is gonna have to come out of your pocket, sorry

POST 6Original post

I have a 99 996 cab and got a warranty on it, I think that is was about 2K including wear and tear....name of company "the exotic warranty company" Someone comes by to check your car...so it has to be in good shape....they want you to take it for a spin with them in the passenger seat and they even check the paint thickness....etc.
