Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion · Original poster

I found this track easier to learn ( I believe due to the relative lack of elevation changes), but not as fun (Although I did have a great time, as usual).

Overall, I really enjoy the TWS Road Course's combination of the banked straight, variation of curves, generally good run off areas and elevation changes.

Never been to Cresson, so I can't comment, others who have run both say the Cresson "long course" is similar.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As you can clearly see, I am in the Green or Beginner Group. Photo by Chris Alvarado of the Hill Country Region PCA. More at: http://www.hcrpca.org/

POST 2Original post

Which is your car? LOL I was car #259 in the white run group, how did you like the track? Was it your first DE?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm #813 (See Avatar). I've been to DEs at TWS twice. I found this track easier to learn ( I believe due to the relative lack of elevation changes), but not as fun (Although I did have a great time, as usual). Thanks to all at LSRPCA for another great DE!

POST 4Original post

Just curious, easier to learn than which track(s)?

POST 6Original post

Not in Texas/Oklahoma. The apparel requirements are simple. You can't wear shorts and you must wear lace up shoes (no slip-ons).

POST 7Original post

I guess the rules vary by which organization is sponsoring the event. Our local PCA chapter here in Vegas is very strict on dress code. Long Sleeve 100% cotton t-shirts, long pants, close toe shoes, or off course a racing suit. I prefer the suit.

POST 8Original post

I believe he's referring to TWS up in College Station, it's an older track with lots of elevation changes and a nice long straight on the oval portion of the track. The new HMSR is a very nice venue, the track is pristine, best of all it's 30 minutes from my house.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

DJ: Thanks for filling in the blanks. I fully agree with what you said (except that MSR is 45 minutes from MY house). The only other public track (as opposed to driving schools and auto cross) I've been on is Moroso in South Florida. I didn't like it at all because of the proximity of concrete walls and trees. Overall, I really enjoy the TWS Road Course's combination of the banked straight, variation of curves, generally good run off areas and elevation changes. I look forward to spending lots of weekends trying to master it.

POST 10Original post

Is that the new Motor Sport Ranch? I didn't realize it was open already. I used to live in Dallas and did TWS a couple of times and I did the old MSR in Cresson, TX about 6 times. DJ Have you been to MSR in Cresson? If so, how do you compare the two?

POST 11Original post

The Houston MSR just opened a couple of months ago, it's been a long time coming. Never been to Cresson, so I can't comment, others who have run both say the Cresson "long course" is similar. Personally I found some parts of the course similar to Barber Motorsports Park, which is a good thing.
