Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Introduction!
Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello everyone. I wanted to take a moment and post an introduction. Back in October I thought that I was going to get into a 996, but the pieces did not fall into place. Yesterday they most certainly did. '99 C2. I'm absolutely elated with my purchase. I moved out of my E46 M3 only two weeks ago. Possibly the best decision I have ever made. On top of that I was able to satisfy my need for some great options surprisingly quickly. I go by Tyler. I hang around the triangle (Raleigh/Cary) just about as much as I am home it seems. However, I currently reside in Fayetteville, NC. Hope to see all of you around.

POST 3Original post

Hey Tyler! Welcome - I'm pretty much new here too! Sweet car! I must warn you - some of the folks on this board are pretty militant about pics and I'm pretty sure that just one will not cut it!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good call, rajeshr. I was waiting for someone to mention the low quality single picture. I actually underwent some surgery last week, and can't give the car a proper wash, clay bar, and wax atm. I also refuse out of principal to let a detailer do the ceremonial first wash, clay bar, and wax. I will make sure to bump this thread with proper(read:none iPhone) pictures when I'm able.

Strong work. Nice 996. Welcome. Looks like Midnight Blue Metallic in this photo... an excellent color choice!

I hope you are not sorry! You just introduced yourself to 10,000 Porsche Maniacs. Nice car and welcome. If your VISA card is not maxed out, it will be!

POST 18Original post

Welcome. Very nice car! I love that colour. My next one will be blue.

You Northerners know nothing about Southern grasses. They thrive in the heat and sun, but are not cold hardy. After the first frost, they go dormant. That is either a hybrid Bermuda or a zoysia grass. As soon as the nights get no lower that 60 degrees, it will produce new growth and in 2 to 3 weeks be green and lush. The two pics below will show you what a zoysia lawn looks like in the summer. OK, back to your regularly scheduled program.....

Congrats and welcome, Tyler -- she looks very nice. I had an E46 M3 before, myself, and I still have an E36 M3. ///Michael

Very nice find...and welcome...good start posting a picture. Im guessing you had ample time to water the lawn with no Pcar to work on.....

POST 25 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No sunroof delete, unfortunately. That option is a bit too rare for me to legitimately hunt for. It does however, have the factory LSD...gotta love the '99 model year!
