I had the car checked by a quality autobody guy and he said the repair was great and no frame damage.

I did have the RMS done for a second time (first was part of the certification.) The main thing that got me was that the dealer checked off no body damage on the certification papers.

I flew a friend and I from St Louis to Houston, Global Motorcars picked us up at the airport and drove us to the dealership. I saw the car and didn't even have to test drive it, it is very close to showroom, after they we're done prepping and putting on Yokahama AVS Sports, we drove the car home and never looked back. 14 hour drive, got home at 6am.
This car is Gorgeous!!! I love it. Everyone I drive by looks at it. I have gotten remarks in every gas-station. It is the right car with all the right options. That sports exaust rox! Global Motorcars is a great dealership. Talk to Dean Bastas!!!
2002, Black Metallic/Black int., Leather Dash, Sport Exaust, Sport Seats Full Leather, silver console, Misha aftermarket GT2 Wing, bose/changer, Short Shifter, Heated Seats, Advanced Techniq pak, Sports Design pak, 3 months left on Factory then goes to Porsche Cert. for 2 years.

I'll get some good pics up later this week!!!
Thanks guys,

Oh no, I LOVE the WING. The wing looks awsum in person. Makes it look like a GT2 from certain angles. I think it is what draws all the attention to the car.
The car is perfect, 1 owner, never wrecked, original stickers on hood and other parts. Besides, Porsche would NOT Certify it, had it been wrecked.
Must have just been the lighting, doesn't look off-color in person. Interior is cleanest I have seen, especially w/that leather dash.
I thought the airbag looked odd too, but like you said could certainly have been the light.
Car looks great, good luck!!
I'm with dell, not crazy about the wing on a C4S, however, as long as you're happy that's all that matters.
congrats - I just got a C4S as my first P-car as well just last Feb. I really like the interior treatment on yours - I'm planning on several of those mods, of which you'll not have to worry!
Being part of the picky crowd tho, I have to go along with the dissent on the wing... I love the smoother lines of the car (even compared to my buddy's TT - call me blasphemous?) but hey, to each his own. Best of luck with her.
looks great, I love the pedals and the white gauges! Just picked up my 2002 Lapis Blue C4S and drove it back home the other day.
C4S' are great, aren't they. Enjoy your new ride!!!!
If you bought it from Global and they bought it from Advantage (I assume that is the same a Porsche of West Houston?) then it is NOT certified. CPO is not tranferable to a non-Porsche dealer.....ONLY to between private party individuals.
Sorry if it sounds like I am breaking your *****. I'm not. I just want you to understand how the CPO works and hate to have to hear you a year from now say you got screwed on your CPO claim for a warranty repair b/c you were lied to.
I called Porsche USA, they told me the car was Certified until Sept 2008 and that it WOULD transfer to me. Is there somewhere else I should check for sure?
The problem is that Global is a used car dealer and they cannot SELL nor CERTIFY any car they sell with the PCNA CPO program--only Porsche dealers can. The problem is that it might have been a CPO prior to being purchased by Global. If the title reflects that you PURCHASED it from Advantage Porsche of West Houston then you can keep the CPO. But the second PCNA's computers get updated that it went from Porsche dealer to non Porsche dealer then to you chances are it will be removed and when you go to get CPO warranty work done you are gonna be told the cold hard truth.
This is a tough one. I would hate to have you call PCNA to verify that your NAME is now on the CPO paperwork with the risk of you asking them about the situation you are in so you can verify you get the CPO and then them void it.
I guess at this point all you can hope for is to get the CPO paperwork in the mail (in the next 4-6 weeks is my guess) and at that point you will know it is legit. But if you call to get it "transferred" into your name prior to that and they see that you did NOT buy the car from them but that is was sold to Global you are gonna be in for a shock.
Maybe somebody has other input here? This is one dicey situation.
did u see the title of the car?
if Global obtained the title, and sale it to you as owner of the car, then no CPO.
if Global just "change hands" the title you saw is still with Advantage . the CPO is good. cause to PCNA, the title transfer is from a p-dealer to a private buyer.
good luck!
btw, i LOVE the wings
It's not gay. They have to protect themselves. Why would they warrant a car they have NO idea what another dealer could have done to it? If they own dealers certify it then at least they know the car has been in the "family" and verified according to internal requirements.
I just sold my aerokit, too bad. I do have my X73 setup if you're interested. Trading mine in on a TT.
FWIW, that's a GT2 replica wing, not the 'misha' wing, 6 or 1/2 dozen of the other I know but if you keep it, you'll need at least a TT front lip or aerokit front lip[ to balance it out as your current setup will yield high speed instability. Ask me how I know
Guess you simply don't understand. Things can be gay without blaming anyone. To think I had CPO hwen I bought it, only to find out I don't is "gay". Global Motorcars thought it would transfer as they bought the car a week before and it was certified. You're explanation just makes you sound like a company man.
So you telling me it's NOT gay, when you're NOT in my position says alot.
Arr0gant
What a jackass. I try to help and explain the CPO process to you and you come back with that instead of saying thanks for saving me trouble in the future. Go troll somewhere else.
Ya, these guys are great. They just missed it. for the car I got and the price, I can't expect them to do anymore. I'll just X my fingers and hope I don't need it.
I'm taking the car in to service on Thurs. to fix the Ambient Temp Senser. It sais 70 when ITs like 95 degrees. I think I'll just ask them to give the car a quick look-over and let me know if I need anything.
I think I would push the issue with them. If they sold you a car as is with warranty then there should be one. You paid more for the car because it was certified. THey told you it was so they should have a warranty for you and that is that. Otherwise you have cause to make them refund oyur money on the car. It would be like them selling you a car with a TT kit on it as a TT only to find out it is a C2. They misrepresented the conditions under which you bought the car. Under the deceptive trade practices act you have recourse, and I would pursue it. In fact I think I would make them pay you the money that a certification costs and go get it certified at a dealership.
ArrOgant,
I was very interested in buying this car too. In fact I posted in earlier thread with questions about this car. I pulled the Carfax on this car and it came up as a "911 Carrera Base Model/GT2". Did you pull up a CarFax on it?
The car is gorgeous but you need to stick to yout guns with the CPO issue.
Agree... smells like they pulled one on you. Would go in there and demand an after market warranty or financial compensation... CPO costs ~$1,500, so that should be your floor. After market will probably run $3K, so you got your bookends. Personally, I would not let them get away with it!
Nope, I didn't get one. Whatever it was, im sure it's fixed and will pass now. Didn't think it was an issue at the time since it showed it passed the same day.
Hmm, they never guarantee'd the warranty, I just figured it Xferred when I called PorscheNA and they confirmed that it would. When I called today, they said no, it wouldn't. So it wasn't Globals fault.....
car looks great....but dealer know everything..they just pretend to know nothing...they just want to sell sell sell and once you signed the papers...they stop caring!!
They scrrewed you with the CPO.....but who cares...the car looks great you got a great deal......just try to get an extended warranty...because they owe you!
And if it doesn't work: you just got to wing (and you got a huge one) it!
arrogant......At the same time I admire your attitude about this and the fact they (the dealer) sold you a car they claimed was certified, I am not so sure I agree with your defense of the dealer.
Saying that whatever it was that casued the failed inspection "probably" got fixed and then sticking up for them saying "they never guarantee'd the warranty" and you assumed it transfered, just comes across to us as you are more than ok with them decieving (or rather not fully disclosing) everything to you.
So my question is, how did you know it was certified? Did they tell you? If so, they OWE you a warranty.
If they sold you the car as certified then it should be. That is that. It doesn't matter if they knew it was or was not. It is their duty to make sure you have a warranty because you purchased the car under the guise that it was CPO. Therefore, I would either make them pay a Porsche Dealer for CPO, receive compensation for it, of return the car. Something smells bad on this to me. I am not sayng the car is bad or anything at all. It looks awesome, but it seems something isn't right. Look at the car, and the other cars they have there. This is not a fly by night organization. They know what they are doing, and they are trying to get over on you. I would not stand for it. You just dropped 50k in their place. I would make them make it right, but I am lucky to have access to free legal help so I have some advantage. In any event I would force the CPO thing.
Also if anyone ever needs me to look at a car for them in Houston before flying/driving down here I will be more than happy to help. I have done this for a number of people on the board.
I did as much research on the car as I could. I called PorscheNA, I asked about the car she told me it was currently under Factory Warranty. They also said it was certified. I asked if it would transfer to me, she said yes. I must have talked to an idiot. The next time I talked to Global I told them what Porsche said, they said thats great.
Is there someway I can find out how the car failed? I figured it was before they owned the car and they wouldn't know. I figured if the car was currently certified and under factory warranty, it couldn't have been that big of a deal, and if it was, it was surely fixed.
car might fail inpsection for many reasons.
most of them are small. something easily disregarded. brake lights, nail in the tire.etc.
for emission problem, if u check engine is on, u won't try your luck at the DMV, right?
Can you get a readout on the onboard computer? Or, check with a dealer as to any work done that might pop up in their data base?
Either way, it's a done deal now, don't worry too much about it, but do hassle them about the warranty.
First things first. Talk to them (the dealer you bought it from) and get it all clearned up. Last thing they want is to know that the ENIRE community here on Rennlist knows they are shady guys that screw over their customers. See if another Rennlister buys from them. If they tell you to go screw yourself and they don't care about the word of mouth that can precipitate then I would file a complaint with the BBB.

Dell......you should see all the bad stuff about Global on "PelicanParts.com".
It would keep you busy reading for a week......I live in Houston area & have been there 3-4 times, the cars LOOK GREAT, but looks are deceiving & I think so are they.

EDIT: added an "n" to Pelican.....
EDIT #2: I was wrong, it is not Global, but Victory Motorcars I was refering to.
Sorry for any confusion!
I figured as much. That whole warehouse look with the cars reminds me of that Tom Cruise movie where he was selling "reconditioned" cars out of the warehouse. Remember good ole Charlie Babbit?
No one on here is trying to scare you. This is a great community and there are a lot of really great, intelligent people who are only trying to help you have the best experience with the car we all love so much. The other thing is most people have had dealings with bad dealers, car salesman, etc. They speak from experience, and are only trying to help you deal with what appears to be a very shday group. There is no way those dudes did not know the CPO situation, and they intentionally misrepresented the situation to you. You have a small window of opportunity here to make them make it right. You would probably be well advised to take it. What happens in three weeks if you find out you have a bad set of engine bearings and it is going to cost you 4-6k to fix, and you don't have that warranty they promised you? Cars are always buyer beware. I would aboslutely make them CPO this car and pay for it, or make them refund my money. That is just me. I do not like being deceived especially intentionally. You have your shot with them take it or leave, but do not complain later if something might happen and you are out a bunch of money. Remembet we honestly are only trying to help you, and do not let that be lost in the translation of text as opposed to verbal communication.
OK.....I goofed..!!
I owe Global Motorsports an apology!!
I was confusing them with "Victory Motorcars"....I have no knowledge of
problems with Global Motorsports!!
Once again my apologies to Global..............

ZX9RCAM,
What is the deal with Victory? I have heard of them, but do not know much about their cars. I had a friend looking for a car over there. He might want to know about any issues.
Well, like I said, the cars all LOOK GREAT.
They are all very well detailed & made to look as good as any cars you
will come across.
Here are some links on Pelican Parts....buyer beware.

It said "failed emission AND safety" inspection. Doesn't mean it failed emission. It can fail safety inspection for numerous reasons and was obviously fixed the same day. Warranty history would pull that info up.
Forget this thread, get the car out on the road and launch it onto an onramp at 6500RPM and you won't give a **** about all this other stuff anyway.
The car is amazing, you're happy with the transaction, enjoy. If there is any wrath here, it should be directed at the PCNA person who gave you the CPO information, but what are you gonna do?
The first time you take a freeway overpass posted for 50 at 95, you'll be grinning like a fool.
Agreed. Drive the car as much as possible until the factory warranty expires. Hopefully if the cars does have issues, they will come out while you're still under warrarnty.
Beatuiful car by the way, I just picked up my 2002 C4S a couple of days ago as well.
When was the inservice date....I can't imagine it has very much left if any warranty at all? And is it honored here in the US? reason I ask is the Canadian stamp on the VIN plate.
Do you have any kind of paper trail with this CPO warranty? Global may have said they would offer a warranty but without any proof, it is very easy for them to deny it. If it is written anywhere on the sale paperwork, it will be much easier for you to get what you rightly deserve.
It's horrible dealing with these kinds of people...anything automotive or home construction related. The majority of these people deal with customer problems by lying about them or ignoring the issues raised to them, hoping the customer will just go away. Although it can be unpleasant, be adamant with them and don't fall for the fake smiles, handshakes, and back slaps they slather on you.
Good luck. Love the car with the wing!
I do not think it would matter if they told you it would carry over or not. It only matters that they told you it is a certified car. You can prove that it was because PCA has the information as does Advantage Porsche. Therefore whether they told you it would carry over or not is not the issue. They told you the car was certified so it should be. Otherwise they are fraudulent. I would pursue it not because of anything being wrong with the car, but because that was one of the selling points of the car, and well you paid for it.
I think some people are quick to draw conclusions based either on general perceptions or past personal experiences with resale boutiques. It's quite clear from the original poster that Global never misrepresented the warranty details on this C4S. The CPO assumptions made by the poster based on erroneous info from the PCNA rep was relayed to Global, which they neither confirmed nor denied. If I recall correctly, their reaction to the CPO transferrability was "that's great for you." In all fairness, the CPO was not stressed as a selling point by Global; therefore they're not liable for the buyer's own assumptions on such. Did they know otherwise? Perhaps, perhaps not. It's irrelevant in any case. If you were
wrongly
told by the PCNA that this C4S came with a "special" Hyundai-like 10-year factory warranty, then who are they to argue with you? Let's be fair and not paint every resale shop with a broad stroke.
Arr0gant, don't stress about it and go enjoy your car! You did your homework to the best of your abilities and got the car of your dreams at your price, so there's nothing else that matters. Congrats on a great car!
I see. Then forget everything any of us ever said and enjoy the car. Maybe you get lcuky and title never trasnferred to global and PCA will think it went from Advantage to you, and it remains certified. Good luck. It is a beautiful car.
Hehe, you guys have already shown me, especially Dell, who I was a ***** to (SORRY DELL)
that this is the best Porsche BB on the net. I appreciatte all your guys opinions, advice and feedback. I'm SO looking forward to learning more about my car as well as other 911's.
Thanks,
Gant

Just when you thought this thread was dead. You won't believe this:
After thinking about it, I figured, ahh, what do I have to lose. So i went thru my paperwork, only to find that they wrote on the warranty page, Warranty, *CPO Sept 2008, or 100k.
Crud! Now was that before or after you informed Global about your CPO assumptions from PCNA? This can get dicey in a hurry.
Come to think of it, are there any fine prints on the warranty paperwork stating a disclaimer that the warranty, explicit or implied, must ultimately be verified with the manufacturer?
My first suggestion is to play dumb and go to the Porsche dealer that sold them the car and ask them what needs to be done to make sure your name is on the CPO paperwork (in the system). If they say, sorry buddy, your SOL since we sold it to them and they sold it to you and CANNOT honor the system, then show them the paper you just uploaded and ask what needs to be done.
For all we know the Porsche dealer told your dealer that the car was CPO'd to 2008 and then your dealer has a beef with the Porsche dealer.
EITHER WAY, YOU ARE OWED A 100K/SEPT2008 WARRANTY and ZERO COST TO YOU!!!
Hmm...they checked the 'As-Is' box, but then included a footnote??? Totally contradictory on their part, so not sure of the legal ramifications. Given their added comment on the CPO, however, it's certainly worth a try to pursue it.
From what I understand, the AS-IS that is checked, protects THEM from any liability if anything is wrong. Otherwise, why would they have checked the "as-is" box when they KNEW it had the factory warranty for sure.
No matter the semantics. Verify you are CPO'd and go from there. If you find out you are screwed, then as I said, find out if Global was told by the P-Car dealer it was CPO'd and would be offered to you. Either way, somebody other than you is covering the car with a warranty (or montary compensaition equal to it in return). If none fo that happens, hire an lawyer or give the car back since it was MISREPRESENTED. As painful as that might be, you might have to stick to your guns.
That's what I don't understand. They have no reason to check that box given there's still a remaining factory warranty. They didn't do the PPI for you, nor did they guarantee you the car was perfect (every reseller has a disclaimer that the car's condition is represented "to the best of their ability"). Anything wrong with the car post-purchase would be covered by the warranty anyway, so why would they need protection when the warranty period is still in effect?
My guess? So that when you drive it off the lot and in a week, the engine blows, you don't take it back and say fix it. You HAVE to take it to Porsche.
I agree and disagree with Dell here. They owe you a warranty. A CPO warranty. I would not take an aftermarket one as half of those go out of business months after you get their warranty. I would so force this and make them pay the certification through Porsche if it has been lost in the transfer. You have them by the nads so now you will find out if they are on the up and up or not. We'll all know shortly what kind of ethics global motors is sporting.
Totally agree here. The minute they balk, and that will be the minute you call them asking for them to CPO the car you tell them fine. Write me a check and I am bringing you back the car. Violation of contract. They will cave. Maybe.
We really take no pleasure in that it is just that most people have been through it in one way or another. There is just about nothing that we people on this board have not seen, and can spot it a mile away. Just be diligent and stick to your guns, and it will work out. I live in Houston, and if you need anything I can try and help if possible.
I cannot answer number one, but I can maybe answer number 2. In Houston right now there is a glut of quality used 996's on the lots. They will probably do just about anything to move them. Many of them are off leases, and have nowhere to go. Momentum Porsche has a load of great looking 996's sitting there. They have a couple of GT3, several 996 TT both coupe and cab, some 4S, etc. They are loaded in good used 996. This more than anythin might be the reason for Advantage moving the car to whomever they could just to clear some 996 inventory.
Well, it turns out this car has had flood damage. I guess this is why the interior (Seats, carpet, finishings) is in near-showroom condition). I called the dealer that they bought the car from (auction or what-not) I had to fax them proof of ownership and they faxed me back the records. Why would this not have shown up on the CarFax? Im sure a claim was made and paid.
Here is what their (Global Motorcars) ad said:
Every effort is made to describe each vehicle exactly as it is in our listings.
Your satisfaction is assured. As with most pre-owned vehicles, minor wear may be discernable and degree of wear is often related to age of the vehicle.
We check to assure no odometer rollback, salvaged titles, reconditioned titles or flood cars.
All vehicles are sold AS IS without warranties unless stated otherwise. We welcome pre-delivery inspections. Payment instructions will be sent via e-mail. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
Every effort is made? I don't think so. Does every effort NOT include checking with the company's records they got the car from?
What do I do from here guys? I definately need a CPO warranty just in-case there are problems relating to the flood-damage. What are my legal recourses if they won't help me?
I wouldn't go another day with the car. yes it is nice but WAY misrepresented. They need to buy the car back from you and you need to start your search over. I would be livid right about now and comtemplating legal action against them for deceit!
I really hope that he gets a lawyer and sends back the lemon. I feel really badly for him - it's tragic to see someone buy such a great car and find out that thee dealer ripped you off.
Wow, it appears they stuck it to that guy, Canadian car and flood nonetheless. Canadian market cars generally sell for much less at auctions (approximately half their value).. sometimes the instrument clusters need to replace to calculate miles instead of kilometers and some manufactures do not warranty cars out of their intended market. As for flood damage a quick check of a NICB report, could tip you off. I used to work as a Salesman/Manager at a traditional car dealership, I couldn't live with myself, after some of the stuff that went on. Now I appraise cars for Carmax, and can sleep nights
I talked to Craig. Man, he really sounds like he knows what he's doing!! It's gonna cost me up-front, but I should recoupe all damages and fee's.
Thanks blk!!!!!!!!!
Gant
Excellent!
Glad to hear that you're going to get them. By not letting this slide you're telling them that we're not going to tolerate this kind of behaviour. I'm still astounded that two dealers could behave like this. Both Global and the Porsche dealer were complict in concealing unacceptable flaws in the car - that's fraud. Go get 'em!
I read every post in this very sad story. What a bummer. Used car dealers can be the lowest form of life on the planet and while there are probably some honest ones out there you must do your due diligence and still pray to some higher being.
I do hope this guy gets this deal undone without too much hassle and I tip my cap to the guys who put him on the right track.
Very well said.
It was this comment that finally made me think. Something doesn't smell right. So I dug further. It was blk and Dell, as well as a few others that I can't think of names off the top right now, who made me realize, once the CPO fell thru, I better dig and dig.
The Effed up thing is this, I shouldn't have been able to find this out. Luckily that guy faxed me the goods. Otherwise, I'd be totally ignorant too all.
I ow pl, blk, and especially dell, who i made an assnine comment too, who was just trying to help (gay or not).
Arrogant,
Don't feel too bad. Just learn from it. I was sold a car from Silver Star (porsche of roslyn, NY) And it was certified, but after i got home, discovered it had some previous damage to the right front. I had the car checked by a quality autobody guy and he said the repair was great and no frame damage. When i pressed the issue with the dealer, he eventually said to bring it back, but PCNA said that the car was definitely covered. I decide to keep it primarily because of the milage i put on and knew it was going to depreciate hard anyway. I have been lucky so far, having put on 45,000 miles since october 2004. I did have the RMS done for a second time (first was part of the certification.) The main thing that got me was that the dealer checked off no body damage on the certification papers. I even questioned PCNA about this, but they could have cared less. They made some comment about how the dealers are independent...
Any way, even Legit porsche dealers can try to f*** You to make a sale. I should have sent mine back, but had already gotten hooked on it. So far i have been ok. DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!!! AND make sure any of our friends (i have one now) who are looking at purchasing one of these cars, from any dealer, do their homework. If it's too good to be true...
Jeff
Well this is further evidence that we have a good group over here, and people really do try and help each other. I think you'll be in good hands with Craig as he came with the highest recommendation from someone I respect wholly in the legal profession here in Houston. Go get these guys.
Glad I made you smile.
I ran out of steam after #3. There have to be other suggestions we could come up with.
edit... no, I was wrong, here's another... "The Little Mermaid"!
You guys are hilarious.
To think I almost bought this car....
Arrogant, I hope it works out for you. I now have my new girl in the garage. I will post a thread soon telling "How to break a Porsche in the right way" when I have more time.

Zoolander, yes. This is the car you were looking at, you called them and they said, sorry, it's sold. Dam u!
Im going to negottiate with them today. If they won't give me the same car or better for the same price, i will sue.
Ended up getting my money back and getting a silver 2002 C4S. Then Sold the C4S a year later for a 911TT, then sold that a year later for a brand new 08 M3, then sold that a year later for the 2004 M3 Convertible with 17k miles I have now.

Well, I'll just say this. We're in tough times and tough times call for tough measures. Anyway, I just got the E46M and it's not as fast but it's a lot of fun.
i might have missed this, but how did you find out the car had flood damage? did you get a PPI from an independent before you purchased?
this was a riveting thread to follow.
After I bought the car and drove a thousand miles home, I found out the P dealership it came from and somehow got some idiot worker there to send me all the paperwork which disclosed the total loss an sale to the place I bought it from. I had them by the *****.
They returned the full purchase price, my plane ticket for 2 down there to pick it up and gas for the trip back. They also payed to have a tow truck pick it up and drive it back.
Gant! I was thinking about you only yesterday - I see the trend of keeping a car less then 2 minutes continues!
I was wondering if you still called in to check up on us occasionally.
Well, we miss you - it would be good to see stop by occasionally and say hello.
That's a nice looking car you have there. I'll have to check out the pictures when I get a chance.
So, are you still dating the leggy blonde?
WOW... see? Now I feel fulfilled... After reading through several pages of thread yesterday while on vacation, I felt incomplete. Aren't you guys glad I resurrected this?
Great conclusion to the story!
Ok, so how about pics of this leggy blonde?
Well, I have been better and I have been worse. On the positive side, we sold our North Carolina house yesterday, after having it on the market for 18 months.
On the down side, I accepted a job in Dallas in February 2008 so relocated to Dallas in June of '08. The investors that owned to company sold 65% of the stores in August of 2008 and consequently my job ended in December of 2008.
Still on the down side, I turned my '04 996 back to the leasing company in June of 2008
and bought a Honda Accord.
I the up side, I have been doing some consulting work in Greenville, SC for the last 18 weeks and should continue this project at least through the end of September. I am still trying to land a permanent position some where.
So..... you are now caught up on my situation. Don't be a stranger!
and some with Porsches that they won't be able to drive for a while. Phil, 12 more weeks on crutches and then PT. By the time I can drive, the car will be in storage for the winter. What's the market for a seven year old Porsche C4S with 3500 miles? Just kidding.
Welcome back Gant!!
I remember we bought our 02 C4S's and 08 M3's at the same time. Good luck with the E46 convertible, fun car, I used to also own a E46 coupe (it was stolen).
