Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For Sale: New In Box K&N Cold Air Intake $250 (lowered from $300) Title says it all, I've got a brand new K&N cold air intake for sale for $250, includes shipping.

POST 2Original post

Sorry - only members can post for sale items -

POST 3Original post

I would let it stand, the product has NEGATIVE value for knowledgeable owners anyway. The sale should include insurance for the coming day, premature day, of an engine rebuild.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

To be a member do you mean someone with 100+ posts? I know I can't access the FS area, but sometimes see products for sale in these forums anyhow. Apologies if I'm mistaken.

POST 5Original post

Member = payed for membership - $17 gets you unlimited access

POST 6Original post

any reason why you bought it and now selling it?

Yes you will see items for sale in the forums, but 99% of the time the items are listed by paying members, which is allowed. If you want to become a member, go to the top right on any screen and click on membership . Follow the instructions.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got it. Paid for 1-year membership. Not sure where anything has changed, but it's paid at least. As for the question why I'm selling it, it's because I never installed it and am working on returning the car back to near all stock parts. Thanks all.

What exactly is that negative value? I've had one for over 3 and fail to see any merit in your comments.

there are those who think smoking is bad for your lungs or drinking alcohol will wear down your liver faster than the predestined time your life should expire. Hence, putting cotton airfilters vs paper has that same effect to some cars. The engine may last 100k instead of 150k. There are others that want an excuse to buy a new car that they would hope someone totals it on the side of the road when it's parked.

POST 11Original post

K&N's "oiled" filter pretty much guarantees a premature MAF/IAT module failure if not a premature engine failure. K&N should be paying owners to use their filters just as they do the race teams. "...those who think.." I suspect that there is NO one that wouldn't acknowledge smoking is bad for your lungs. The question becomes....... is the pleasure worth the downside. I like to think it's EXCESSIVE drinking that damages your liver, probably more like wishful thinking since I'm more than a social drinker, one a day, at least. I also have smoke occasionally, but only socially, not as a habit.
