Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

23 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 6Original post

POST 7Original post

Welcome aboard! Nice looking cab - looks a lot like mine before the face lift... I highly recommend the amberectomy on a silver car - keeps the front end from looking broken up... and Ed is Chief Surgeon - he can send you good references, or talk you through it... and if his caseload isn't too heavy, may even do it for you... The mod bug is highly contagious, especially if you hang around here... you'll find mods from Free to several thousand dollars, and this is one of the better places to find suggestions... Congrats! Rudy

It has to be a replacement bumper - the brackets for the bumperettes connect to the main bumper beam through to the bumperettes on the outside... With my new rear bumper I thought about going without... but the body shop guy talked me into keeping them, but painted... added about three weeks to the job (they had to fab new, shorter brackets because the new bumper wasn't as deep as the stock bumper)... but the jury is still out, not that I can change it at this point, but the no-bumperette look is growing on me... Welcome! Nice ride! My car is far more stock than yours. Check out my pumkins! And I'm not changing a darn thing until Feb 2011. That's when the CPO says goodbye! Cars in for a RMS and a new clutch as we speak.

I think it's just a bad pic.. You can see the tow hook cover in the upper right side.

POST 18Original post

I see two distinctive grey blocks when I zoom in on the picture, but I guess it could be a bad pic. Nice cab none the less.

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow, thank you all for the warm welcome! Yeah, couldn't roll the lil 17s WITH the pumpkins - one had to go immediately after purchase While I completely dig the look of the "Amberectomy", how is it a free mod? Don't you for one moment think I am capable of removing a bumper cover - ain't happenin' haha. I'll break/scratch/loose something, guaranteed. And yes, the car is bumperette-less I'm pretty sure its the stock bumper, refinished from a minor incident. And wross, although I live around the corner from my fathers office I havent even been there yet bc of the line!

2000 C2 6-speed new: clutch, rms, pulleys/tensioners and top stripped-just litronics & hi-fi (which is still a garbage sound system) had 55k a few months ago, now at 68k but I'm putting down the keys to my crack pipe to save mileage for the future. Membership will come with the next paycheck

You don't have to remove the bumper cover. The lights slide out toward the front of the car after you "unlock" them with the tool from inside the trunk. Your manual will have instructions on how to remove the lights.
