Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Got into my '99 C2 this am and the car said it was 3 degrees F outside. I drove on my summer tires for 40 plus miles so I could finally have my back ordered blizzaks mounted and balanced. Heading back home the outside temp. hit a balmy 11 degrees F, so now I'm ready for the next snowfall which is expected on Sunday/ Monday. I know some of you will flame me for driving on dedicated summer tires, but I had no issues or problems on dry pavement.Anyway, I am looking forward to driving my Porsche all winter. Pics to follow after our next snow event.
Summer tires will warm up and be OK after a while on the road.If it's dry.
We just got 5 inches of snow on the cape and I had a ball diving home the PSM warning light was going off at every corner when I gunned it, This is a remarkable car in the snow if you have 4 snow tires on.
Sorry, but the same characteristics that make summer tires very bad in snow and ice make them very bad on dry roads in the winter. It's not an issue of warming them up...
Ugg. I just drove home from work and saw -4! There are a lot of squeaks and clunks from the suspension at that temperature (and I have the X74).
If I could only turn my summer tires into insulation, I would about now!
I just HATE cold weather! We are supposed to get down to 25 degrees tonight, and tomorrow we'll have a high of 47, but it is not going to last long. Fortunately it will get to 64 on Saturday.
I hear that over and over, but I 'm saying that I had zero issues with traction, braking or cornering, and didn't experience any problems. There seems to be a belief that summer tires cannot be driven in the winter(bare roads) safely(below 45 degrees F), and I guess I disagree. I think that has been promoted by the tire companies so they can sell more tires.
FWIW, I bought my car with summer tires on and drove it for a few days before the winters arrived and were installed. While the summer tires didn't catch fire or self destruct or anything quite so dramatic, there really is an enormous difference in grip even on dry pavement at ~20F.
