Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used heat in the past when I would take bolts off the old Rotary Exhaust Systems......
Leading evidence: 'Use heat in the past' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). When you go back together, use some antiseize on the threads of the bolts.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

It worked well to remove the exhaust manifold to downpipe nuts on my 30 year oil Mercedes.
I received my Dansk New Oval Exhaust Tips - Stainless, they look awesome, the problem is, I can't remove the bolts from the clamps which connects the lower exhausts port to the muffler
. The Clamp Is so rusted that I will not budge, I tried to release the two bolts that connect the muffler to the upper housing, but that also will not loosen up, when I removed the first bolt, the dam bolt snapped and broke off (no biggie, I will go to the dealership tomorrow and pick up the part) I just can't seem to work around this, what am I doing WRONG?
I searched for a DIY on this forum as well as Renntech to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated my brothers... And yes, I will take pictures thereafter..
Go get som PB Blaster from your local auto parts store and soak the rusted bolts and clamps and let it sit for a bit. Should free them up and make removal easier.
Good Luck
I second the PB Blaster; also after you liberally apply you can tap the bolts with a small ball peen. This will help the solvent pentrate a little more. The operative word is TAP; resist the urge to BEAT,SMASH or POUND regardless of your frustration level. This will lead to DESTRUCTION; which comes with its own set of problems. If this doesn't work, I suggest getting the gas hatchet.

Try the lub first then go to the heat, a low torch works pretty well......

Try putting a little dab of high temp wheel bearing grease on the threads. When you drive it the heat will melt the grease into the connection. It worked well to remove the exhaust manifold to downpipe nuts on my 30 year oil Mercedes. It might smoke a little.
For removing the mufflers, try loosening the three smaller bolts which fasten the muffler/bracket assembly to the car instead of loosening the two longer bolts at the ends of the bracket (leave the bracket attached to the muffler).
When you go back together, use some antiseize on the threads of the bolts. You can get high temp antiseize at the auto parts store, comes in a tube and can.Permatex brand is one that comes to mind.
