Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I am running an aggressive street set up with 2.5 deg rear camber and 1.5 in front, no rub issues.
Leading evidence: 'Run aggressive street' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check spacers' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Did you check the spacers to see if they are flat and round?

Satan had taken over.Returned to the house unmounted the fronts; test hop #2, no shimmy, but percieved some from the rear; maybe not, but at this point I was paranoid.

Home now and remounted the fronts and went for test hop #3; Shimmy at 20 mph.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I bought wheel spacers; 5mm front and 10mm rear, 53mm bolts. I got home and mounted them and went for a spin. At 25 mph the steering started to shimmy, and got worse with speed, at 45 mph it was like a washing machine with all the towels on one side on spin. Satan had taken over.Returned to the house unmounted the fronts; test hop #2, no shimmy, but percieved some from the rear; maybe not, but at this point I was paranoid. Went to the tire store and had all 4 balanced. On the drive home car was smooth or was it, thought I could vaguely feel some hop from the rears. Home now and remounted the fronts and went for test hop #3; Shimmy at 20 mph. WTF !!! An exorcism is in progress as I type, the car is in the garage being bathed in incense with Ravvi Shenkar on the stereo.
-Tire pressure is what I normally run 34/f , 38/r
-Tires are SO2, 3500 mi
-Spacers purchased from a very reputable P-Car only race prep shop, made for Fikse wheels and is what they use on P-Cars that require them.
-Tourque at 93 ft/lb
Would the Porsche/ H&R spacers done the same thing? Are my wheels bent?
Any thoughts?
Are the spacers hub centric with very tight tolerances and (for the rears), do they provide a new hub-centric flange to mount the wheels? I have found that my aftermarket wheels are very sensitive to not being hub-centric since the hubs do not have as tight of tolerances as OE wheels. Sometimes unmounting/remounting makes a difference. I'm envisioning possibly the same thing especially with the really long-bolted 10mm spacers.
The spacers are hub centric. I have Weld wheels on my Ford Truck and the lug nuts have flat washers. The bolts for the posche are acorn style and the wheels are supposed to hb centric. I have remounted enough times to qualify for a pit crew memeber.
I come on bended knee to tell the board of my failure to rember the addition of a 6mm spacer at the track to aid in clearing up a little push. It looks just like the rotor and is attached with screws. I was absent during the install as the cure to my understeer was not revealed to me until after a couple of laps. Extra spacer removed and car is seizure free.
Can I get some help on what wheel spacers I can use? I have an '02 C4 Cab with sport suspension. 18" Carrera rims with 225/285 front/rear tires. I hear some say they have problems with tires rubbing. Also, is same spacers on front and rear recommended.
I think Porsche says only 6mm in front and 15mm in rear. I have H&R coilovers , my rear measures 24.5". I am running an aggressive street set up with 2.5 deg rear camber and 1.5 in front, no rub issues. My spacers are 6mm front, 10mm rear. If I went to 15mm in the rear I would need to roll the fenders. I am curious as to the mounting style for others; mine slip over the hub sandwiched between the wheel and rotor. This (rears) does not really allow for the wheel to center on the hub. I had to mount the rears loose and rotate to get a good center mount measuring with a feeler gauge. I would like a more positive way to center the rears. Thoughts?
