Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, I've had my 996 about two weeks now and covered a little over 1500KM's. The car was lowered by the PO using H&R springs. Although it looks great, there is a bit of clunking coming from the rear of the car over SHARP pavement imperfections. The noise seems to be more from the driver's side but can't be sure. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thinking of upgrading to PSS9's (I know the 10's are available) or maybe the x74 as I'm not that impressed wih the suspension as it is now. Thanks for the help.
Tim.
Similar thing here recently.
Had PSS9's installed and H&R sways.
Clicking sounding from back there. Took it back to the shop who installed and they found not real loose but loose bolts on the sways. Maybe just go through all the links back there and re tork.
Good luck,
Geoff
Thanks guys. At least the shop/dealer I got the car from is being helpful. Taking the car in next week for a thorough investigation. The car also seems to run a bit too much negative camber so I'm kind of curious to see what's up. I'm right in the middle of a trip to the Okanagan region of BC which included a great middle-of the-night run to Kelowna...obeying all speed limits of course!
Tim.
I had a similar sound during a similar condition. I installed a ROW M030 setup a several months ago. Just jacked up my car and found the sway bar bushing clamp was loose under the engine. I will admit I had a loose front sway bar link on the passanger side about a month ago. I'm a figuren you gotta check your suspension fasteners after the car has settled in…
Update: It took me until last week to get the car to the dealer, been too busy. Result? 1 rear shock completely f#$@#ed, other rear not so great. Fix? 4 new Bilstein sport(?) shocks and an alignment to ROW Sport specs which is roughly -30mm....about what mine is with the H&R's. Now the car drives as it should. Approaching 50000KM(31000ish miles) and still enjoying her. Though I have been toying with the idea of either a 996GT3 or a 993TT. Decisions, decisions!
