Suggestion

If I had coilovers, I would use the GT3 spec which is about a 25MM rake with the nose down - below is from the factory manual.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here are a couple of pics of my 01 C2, new coilovers installed and front is almost 1 1/4 lower than stock and rear is 1 lower. Thinking about raising the front 1/4 and lowering the rear 1/4-1/2, still maintaining some rake. Any comments, suggestions, ect. This is my first experience with coilovers on a vehicle ever. I should also mention Im ordering 7mm spacers for the front and 15mm for the rear. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I have the same spacer set up you have on order, and I love the way the car looks. I am on H&R Springs and B8s on the car with Front 225/40ZR-18 and Rear 285/35ZR-18 If I had coilovers, I would use the GT3 spec which is about a 25MM rake with the nose down - below is from the factory manual. Confirm front axle ride height measurement is within 108 mm +5 mm / -0 mm. Confirm rear axle ride height measurement is within 133 mm +5 mm / -0 mm.

I would use the MK2 Gt3 spec.

POST 5Original post

^^^^^^ This. My car it right on gt3,mk2 spec with ohlins. Kinda crappy pic

POST 6Original post

I would just raise the front up to match the rear. Right now the front is way too low.

If my car was that low I'd have to invest in a front spoiler manufacturing plant just to get in and out of my driveway! But it does look sexy.

My 996.2 C4 Cab with 30mm lowered H&R springs and Bilstein B6s running 225/18 front and 285/18 rear P Zero Rossos with 5mm spacers all round. Gives excellent handling and looks about right to my eyes

POST 12Original post

I would raise front up some. That looks a bit to slammed. Question, where are you guys measuring from for the front and rear? I measured my Targa from the fenders right in the center of the wheel cap to ground. Its 25.25 all the way around with HR spring. It's down 1.25 inches from factory.

😂, your front end doesnt look much higher than mine.

POST 15Original post

Thank you for posting that! I will get some measurements. Right now, I have -2.7 camber in rear and Toe is .10. I ordered arms and lock outs. I plan to go to -1.5 and get the toe back to factory. That will lift the car slightly in the rear. Its a 295/35/18. The previous owner put those on for some reason. C

My car is dead center of the gt3 spec measured from the front and rear factory points when measured on 650mm (25.6in) diameter slicks. Not sure how that compares to a factory tire. Since u can control the ride height and weight seperately on an Ohlin it can sometimes give a strange result. My drivers side rear is 1/2" lower at the fender but is perfect at the measuring point, also the corner balance is 50/50. It could also be that the car has been it 2 track accidents?

this looks perfect to me.

My car looks very similar to this I scrape the front bumper are the time (Im on KW V3s). Ive recently gotten 3/4 spacers for the front struts but havent installed them yet. I think if I can raise it just a 1/2 or so it should be perfect (its at the top of its height adjustment range now without the spacers).
