Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My windshield washer fluid reservoir is leaking after 42,000 miles. (Filled it 2 days ago, and it's empty today.) Anybody else had this problem? Ideas? Cost to replace? Thanks, gang.

POST 2Original post

Could be a bad hose, hose fitting, or fluid bottle. The bottle on my Boxster cracked, took a couple of weeks to leak empty. Cost $200-$300 to replace by the dealer, out of warranty of course. If you're under warranty, no prob. If not, check your hose to the bottle first.

POST 3Original post

I was told mine was cracked and took it by the dealer the other day to buy a new tank. One of the service guys told me that it may just be a hose that has popped off. He said that is very common in 996's. I'm going to wait to buy one until I see if the hose has in fact come loose. Apparently you can pull the inner shield and get to the hose if you have access to getting under the car. Thanks, Nazz
