Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

My software program is sae so once it's up and running i get and sae # like 69, which then must be divided by 1.62 which is the crank hp.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hey porschers got the install on some inox t03 stell headers from neil orton they are great my 996 is s/c and the headers make the power come on smooth without being so jerky the exhaust is no more bottle necked and the car is actually quieter so i got just what i wanted hp & tq w/o the noise (these headers are not cop callers as some are) thanks neil hey guys havn't dyno'ed yet but i know the hp & tq have increased neil advertised 12rwhp and i'm sure that's about right but i bought them for the torque man how many times do you geet something and are absoulutely satisfied ( however the install required some muscle as with most after market stuff doesn't bolt on as well as porsche but they fit w/o any modifications

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the headers gave me more than i thought, before my car was doing 420 hp and 258 tq this at crank. My software program is sae so once it's up and running i get and sae # like 69, which then must be divided by 1.62 which is the crank hp. Neveretheless the inox headers gave me 469 hp and 376 tq, at first i htough it was wrong but i ran the car again with the same results. This hp and tq increase is quite noticeable on the car and not placebo. anyway all things being equal with the estimated rwhp @ 375-378 i figure the rwhp with the headers is about 400

POST 3Original post

I'm glad to hear that you like the headers. Just a few comments/questions on your last post: 1. When you say your "software program" are you referring to a dyno? 2. You mentioned that you're getting SAE numbers, does that imply that you're trying to apply SAE environmental correction factors? If so, that's not appropriate for a forced induction (turbo or supercharged) engine. 3. If you're dividing by 1.62 to convert from power at the wheels to power at the crank you're assuming a 38% drivetrain loss. I don't believe that's even close to reality.
