Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For the second time in a row, the fuel overfilled and spilled out of the car. The auto stop on the pump did not trigger - luckily I was paying attention and let off the pump trigger. I have used this gas station (and exact pump) a million times, so it shouldn't be the pump. Any thoughts on this? The drain works to drain the gas under the car, but I would prefer to not use it every time I fill her up.

POST 3Original post

There is something wrong with the design of the tank neck on these cars. On mine, the cutoff works, but if you pull the nozzle back too quickly gas overflows. I have to pull it out slowly, and if I see gas outside the tank put the nozzle back in for a couple of seconds and try again.

POST 4Original post

If you have tried a few pumps and stations, it's probly something wrong with your car. Some pumps require you to pull on the rubber accordion on filler neck in order for the gas to come out. Some pumps don't have such device. Try one that has it.
