Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My name is Ronnie. I am from Charleston, SC. This is my first Porsche, a 1999 996, which I bought about 6 weeks ago. It has the Sport Package which includes the sport suspension, sport seats and traction control. It has a 6 Speed. I think the wheels are BBS but I would like to know if anyone knows what they are. I really appreciate all of the advice that is given here. I just put new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on it (not in picture). What a difference!

POST 2Original post

Ronnie, Welcome to Rennlist and Congrats on getting a sweet looking 996. Thanks for the pics! Not sure what wheels those are. You may have to remove one of them to get a part number from the inside to try to determine the manufacturer.

POST 3Original post

Nice ride Ronnie , your MY99 looks very nice. Can't help you with your wheels but I can say welcome to an informative and often humorous forum. How many miles on your Porsche?

POST 5Original post

Welcome. Gotta love silver '99s! Now, let's talk mods.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the friendly welcome! It had 58,500 on it when I got it. Now it has 59,900. It had the 60K service done. It has the Schnell cold air intake. I just put new Pilot Sport A/S all the way around.

POST 7Original post

Congrats on your new ride! Welcome aboard. Rudy

By the way, the Mobile Home Trailer (not that there is anything wrong with them) I am parked in front of is NOT where I live. It is at a horse farm.

hah! too funny. I did not even notice

POST 10Original post

Welcome.... Def not BBS, Im not sure what wheels they are but they look like these but in 1 piece (they might be Mille Miglia Emotion).... one of my favorite threads of the year. https://rennlist.com/forums/for-sale...ires-18-a.html

POST 11Original post

Hey Ronnie, I thought you were going to be Santa Claus! The wheels look great, TSW used to have a couple similar styles, but I don't think those are TSW. I also dig the stance and those aero pieces, looks like they're just attached over the stock bodywork (?) but gives it a great look. I'd like to do that myself if I find those aero pieces somewhere.... Have fun / drive safe!

POST 12Original post

I like the look of those rims whatever brand they are. Cool ride!

POST 13Original post

Those are great looking wheels. Hopefully you can find out what they are.

CRCJR1963, Welcome to Rennlist and the 996 Forum! You are about to become One with a bunch of great guys. Those aero front splitters and rocker covers are in-fact mounted over the stock bodywork. The were made by TechArt about a decade ago. Not sure you can get them anymore... unless you want to buy my 1999 C2 with those exact same pieces already installed on it (in guards red).

POST 16Original post

Those wheels look great on that car! Enjoy it!

POST 18Original post

Heck yah nice car. I know the pilot powers for bikes can burn out in 2-3k miles so keep an eye on them since performance tires are soft to get the results. I don't know your style but you might be reliving a second childhood with your car. I have been told that is what I am doing buying my car. I figure you got the tires you did because you are going to drive it like it was made to be driven. Drive nice now yeee haaaw

POST 19 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the kind comments. I am definitely reliving my second childhood! I have been impressed with the tires so far. The way I drive, they probably won't last more than 8K miles. This is my weekend car so it will take a while to get there.
