Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just picked up my first Porsche 2002 C4 Cabriolet. Ii am debating installing the multiple CD Changer. It seems like an easy enough install. I cannot see where the unit plugs in. Has anyone installed this themselves, or have an illustration of where the plug in is? I do not want to start dismantling the wrong thing. Am i better off just installing my IPOD. Based on what I've read the Ipod install is more complicated?

POST 2Original post

ipod is the way to go. I haven't used my disc changer in 2 years!

POST 3Original post

What head unit do you have? If you have a CDR220 there is a cable set that runs from the head unit to the Multi-CD player. Look at the becker website there is some info there. I can send you a diagram of the back of the unit tomorrow which shows where the cd player plugs in, Cables are available from harmon-Becker.

POST 5Original post

If you have an ipod, then using the head unit's aux would be be ideal. I don't listen to a variety of music much and since my 996 has a cd changer already, I just listen to cd. I got an ipd for xmas and I returned it bc I have no interest in ipod or mp3 as I don't want to rip my cd.
