Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am looking to buy some track tyres for my 996. Can get rear size easy (255 40 R17) but cannot get front tyres size 205 50 R17 to match the S02 road tyres. My question is will fitting front track tires sized 215 45 R17 cause any problems or require adjustments before I go onto the track? I simply want to remove my road wheels and put on some track wheels for the track. How hard can that be. Any suggetions on track tires? thanks.

POST 2Original post

Stuart depending on the width of your rear wheels I'd go with something bigger than 255. Perhaps a 275. For the front, anything up to 235 should work fine. I'm currently running 235/18s on the front with no issues.
