Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Many use the Kassumaul, but I had a guru do a more custom alignment for me.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Got to drive a 2004 GT3 on the track today. Oh, what I wouldn't give for 80 more HP!! (Plus the other GT3 goodies.)
Same tires - on my C4 I can get around that track in 1:05. In the GT3 it was 1:03 (that was driving someone else's GT3 for the first time...)
What good freakin' cars!!
Tom,
I remember driving your GT3 and it was awesome! How would a GT3 be as a daily driver if someone would not be tracking the car? Too harsh? A waste of machinery?
Just curious.
Keep in mind, although 1 second doesn't seem like much of a difference you will be amazed at how much faster you can drive the GT3 once you have a good 6-8 track events under your belt. My experience was the opposite, my first 3 track days in the GT3 I was 1 second slower than my 997S. However, once you get more comfortable with the car you will be much faster.
I think most would find a GT3 a little harsh on the street as a DD. Anew-ish 997 would give you the right balance of power and comfort if the GT3 was a bit too much. It does take a special person to dig the GT3 off the track. But, I'm glad I'm one of them

Yeah, I'm lucky to have such a trusting friend!
I could see daily driving a GT3. It doesn't ride that different from my X74, but it has even less ground clearance, has a heavier clutch, and probably isn't as good in the snow...
Russo, I agree - it's gotta be a tough car for a novice to learn on. But, in my mind, a GT3 is the perfect "drive to the track" car for an advanced driver.
What kind of race bike?
I have a GSXR 750 Superbike that I used to race that I would like to make streetable but it will take a lot of work. Right now it wears slicks on magnesium wheels, push start, no alternator, total loss electrics, 14:1 CR needs race gas.
Its a different world, especially coming from the C4S, but I really really like it.
Like Russo said, I too am in fact slower right now in the GT3, and I still may be slower at the DE at VIR in a month or so, but the speed will come with familiarity and comfort level. I made significant progress within the span of just 1 day so far.
And yes, I did the
Alcantara project
again,
Tim

The GT3 is very particular WRT alignment. You can literally gain seconds with a proper alignment. Many use the Kassumaul, but I had a guru do a more custom alignment for me. [-3.0 F camber on 245s, -2.0 R camber on 315s; Front Toe 2', cross toe 4'; rear 11', cross 23']. Also my guru modified the rear suspension bits to address the rear toe link issue.
Overall, with me driving, the GT3 is 4-5 seconds faster on a 1.7 mile track. The lion's share of this improvement came from having someone with GT3 experience drive my car (with me in it) and then compare the data [um, Patrick Long
]. You can see that the power goes down way earlier in a GT3. WAY earlier. And lots of it. Also, the lateral loads were higher.
IMO, it takes too long to try to figure it out yourself in little bites. Get someone to show you - in your car - and you will be seconds ahead in less than 1 day.

I'm still very much the student with regard to the GT3. I'm considering some data and video setups (a la SmartyCam), but its not a 'gotta have' right now.
I am signed of as Solo, but I still ask for ride-alongs for pointers, especially with the GT3. I attribute my strides in learning to the instruction received. I was very happy with the progress made in a day in a new car combined with a new track.
Being shown the line as a passenger is helpful, but
feeling
it come together as the driver, really sealed the deal for me; that's how I learn.

At this stage, I am still learning to interpret all of the feedback the GT3 provides, so for me its seat time, seat time, seat time.
IMO, data does make a difference, especially when overlaid with others. And, if you can compare while at the track, even better!
Nice vid! I like the comment "she likes to dance." Truth is, when you get closer to the limit, you will be dancing in lots of corners.

Damn, I knew I should have bought stock in an Aclantarii Farm! The skins off of those little critters are always in great demand when you switch cars, Scott. You should have called me first, I would have suggested a bumblebee pattern on your center console. That would have been awesome!
The pieces look great, Scott!
