Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just dropped $15,100 on a new motor and complete clutch installed last fall.

I know of a clean '00 C4 Cab with a "blown motor." I don't know any of the details of what happened to the motor but assuming that car in good overall condition other than the motor would it be worth putting back on the road?
Leading evidence: 'Install last fall' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'fixable' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Clean '00 c4 cab' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suspected cause
It could be alot less than a reman engine if the problem is fixable.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just looking for advice. I know of a clean '00 C4 Cab with a "blown motor." I don't know any of the details of what happened to the motor but assuming that car in good overall condition other than the motor would it be worth putting back on the road? It is a 6spd with ~75k miles. (red on black) Obviously a good used or rebuilt engine with installation is going to be very pricey so what would a rough price you guys would think you'd have to pick the car up to be worth it? (or don't touch it with a 10 foot pole!) I would not be doing the work myself and thus would have to pay someone to install a new engine. Any ROUGH ballpark figures? Thanks!
Find an equivalent car with a "good" engine, and subtract about $13,000 - $14,000 (the price of a "new" engine less reasonable installation and incidentals). That assumes the engine in the car is usable as a core exchange. If not, subtract about $15,000 -$16,000 from your reference price.
I think that's where I'd start the conversation.
I agree with Doug that that is a good place to start the conversation. The less you pay the better. But you should find out what is wrong with the car. It could be alot less than a reman engine if the problem is fixable.
I'd go higher on your prices. I just dropped $15,100 on a new motor and complete clutch installed last fall. I'm sure prices have gone up too. Call Sunset and see what a new 3.4 costs, along with clutch kit/flywheel, shipping, and core charges .... 10 minute phone call! I'm guessing $8-10k for the car roughly???
