After months of missing each other, I finally got out to Darin Fister's shop this past Saturday. I have a triple black 99 996 Cab and had asked Darin to build a set of muffler bypass pipes for me. Not his usually mod but Darin graciously obliged. I figured if he could mod the stock cans so well, bypass pipes would be a snap. My stock tips were just gathering dust on my garage floor so we used those as our test set. After several hours of tweaking, Darin knocked out a super clean set of pipes that match my car perfectly. There is so little space and such tight angles back there that it was no easy task to get those suckers right. As for the sound quality, the car is mean as hell at idle but not out of control. Above 4000 RPMs you are absolutely screaming. Every blip, downshift, etc. can be heard. I was expecting a little hit to the low end torque but really can't feel any difference. Very very impressed with Darin's work. I will definitely be going back for version 2.0 using a larger tip. I will have them on my car a Laguna Seca next weekend if anyone wants to take a look. Oh, and if you guys havn't heard the Stage 3 Darin is running on his 993 you are missing out. Sounds amazing. Thanks again Darin Ben

will it pass sound? I don't know for sure. A stock GT3 does not pass sound and neither does a 996 without cats and no mufflers. FYI.

Gawd I love the Fister mod on my '03. And, I'm feeling some what guilty that I stole Darin's idea and did it myself. Thank you Mr. Fister, may all your roads in life be smooth with just enough curves to keep it fun.
