Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I took these exhaust mufflers off my car and I have them for sale. They came on the car when I purchased it, but I am swapping back to OEM for less noise. I'm sure a lot of people like this exhaust and the sound, but not me. It is certainly a LOT lighter than the OEM ones, louder and make more power. These sound exactly like the fabspeed muffler's on Ahmet's car which is why I believe these are fabspeed as well. Not really sure what to ask for these... $400? I expect shipping to be $100 which was the shipping cost for OEM mufflers I just purchased. Open to offers. I'd like to see this gone in a week. These are ready to go out tomorrow. -Dan

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The metal does not respond to a magnet. And seriously these weigh less than 1/2 of what the factory mufflers do. I'll put them on scales tonight.

POST 5Original post

sorry but those are not fabspeed, take a look: http://www.fabspeed.com/996_GT3.html scroll down for a link that has a bunch of pics, notice fabspeed has a ID plate on the back of the can, can shape is diff, etc

POST 6Original post

Have you lost your mind buddy. Adding weight to the wrong end by going back to a stock exhaust.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually, these look pretty similar to the fabspeed units listed above; maybe an earlier generation? Regardless of brand; they are stainless, a LOT lighter and sound exactly like the fabspeed mufflers on other cars i've hear. Make me an offer. I know I know, I hate how heavy the OEM ones are; 25-30lbs total. What do you have Andy?

GHL which are too quiet for my taste but actually great on the street. I run muffler bypass pipes for the track so I can hear the car. They come off as soon as I get home though as I don't find them the least bit amusing on the street anymore.

POST 9Original post

I have fabspeeds (stainless) that I just pulled off of my car also for sale. They don't look like the ones pictured (the welds/bends and the mufflers are smooth/oval). Let me know if anybody is interested.

POST 10Original post

I've got a similar aftermarket exhaust identification impediment. Can somebody post closeup pics of the GHL and Fabspeed? Thanks, ///Michael

POST 11Original post

Who is going to pay $400 for those rusty old suckers?
