Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Took the car to the dealer and the sensor was replaced under CPO warranty.
Leading evidence: 'Replace took the car' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'sensor maybe' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend weight, not a recent' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Thanks, I figured it was the sensor maybe because of moisture.

Had to have one replaced on my GT3 but not my CAB....go figure, right?

Looks more like The Man With The Golden Gun to me, or it could have been used briefly in You Only Live Twice.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I also had this indicator come on twice, and then flip back to normal (my gauge fell to zero).
I was driving in the city over some rough pavement at about 25 mph. Suddenly the amber oil pressure failure indicator came on. I noticed that the oil gauge was pinned at the top end! A blip of the throttle cured all and I was able to drive 10 miles to home. Weird? I have 45k miles on it and never saw this before. I assume it's an electrical glitch. My oil is fresh and topped of correctly. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Avatar is in a cove several miles off the coast of Thailand outside of Krabi and Phi Phi islands where an old 007 movie was shot. Water was clear and the temperature of warm bath water. Tiny chartreuse fish were friendly. Women were exceptional.
As has been stated.....check to see if it happens again (and with increasing frequency). Could very well be the oil sending unit. Had to have one replaced on my GT3 but not my CAB....go figure, right?
There are two different failure indications. One indicates a sensor failure, the other an actual loss of oil pressure. It sounds like you had the sensor failure. I also had this indicator come on twice, and then flip back to normal (my gauge fell to zero). Scared the $#!+ out of me when it happened. Took the car to the dealer and the sensor was replaced under CPO warranty. All is well now.

I've had mine changed in 2003. The fact that they didn't design the connector to be weather proof, I would imagine it will need to be replaced in the future. I've had 3-4 times in the pass 2 years where the indicator has went to 0. I think 2 times it was while going through the car wash and the other times happened after going through fog.
Thanks, I figured it was the sensor maybe because of moisture. The weather temperature here has flipped from the teens at night to near 60 during the day here recently.
