The cracks are in the wood and the rear portions (behind the front seats) are cracking off in a few chunks....so it is basically beyond repair unfortunately.

If you want to go this route, I would contact a high end furniture retail outlet and ask them who they use to repair damaged case goods, Sometimes they have an "in house" person and other times they use an independent person.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have replaced a few pieces of my wood trim package on my 01 C2 Cab and need to replace the center console as it has a few cracks in it. Not interested in paying $2500 to the dealer for the part...!!!
Anyone know of one around?
Thanks!
I see them go across the block over on ebay sometimes... save a search for yourself and you will get an email when something pops up.. then just wait... I would search for "Porsche Console" you will get other years, but at least you know the email thing is working..

Is just he top clear coat cracked, or is the crack into the wood?
Have you tried to contact a furniture repair shop? Someone highly skilled at refinishing wood may be able to remove the cracked clear coat, patch the wood (if necessary) and respray the clear coat.

I spoke to Eric at Bumperplugs and he suggested I either paint a core the body color (not my first choice as I like the full-wood look), replace with a used grey leather-covered console he has in stock from a core-trade or ask around for a good-condition (or new) OEM wood console (which is my first choice).
Thanks for the info!
Just made the executive decision thanks to Eric @ BumperPlugs (great guy and reference!):
He had the grey leather console which matches my interior for $200...I wasn't going to pay $2000 for something that may crack again a year or 2 from now.
I will post pics of it (along with other mods I have done including Pioneer AVIC-90 system, amps, speakers, PSS9's, bumperettes, etc.) very soon!
Thanks again Eric and all the Rennlisters for your help!
If you are still interested in a dark wood one I have one that has never been installed. Bought it for my car but my engine gave out and I have never installed it. Let me know if you are interested.
