Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The detailer also installed a 3M film on the bumper, 3/4 of hood and mirrors, you can barely see it (it depends on the angle).

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Howdy!
My 996 just had its paint polished. The detailer did an awesome job and the paint looks awesome! He was right, I do not want to drive it now cus I do not want to get it dirty! Most of the swirls are gone and the paint shines like new.
I guess the previous owner was not as careful as I am but it looks awesome. I really recommend this done if your car has got swirls.

And, to finish my week with a high note (pun intended) my Fabspeed muffler is coming on Thursday...
Here are some before pics:
Ok, 10+ years working on computers and... SHAME on me... I can't figure out how everybody can post big pictures on this... I resized my pics to 640x480 and they are still too big... do I need to post them as HTML references?
Brian, when you join Rennlist do you get that notation added automatically, or does someone have to actually do it for you? I didn't see on the form a place to link name in the real world with the name on Rennlist....
Chris, when you go into the main member web site vs. the public access web site there is a link on the left column called something like...member websites click on it. It will then take you through seting up login for the website area.
Ivan,
Didn't mean to hijack....great looking car. Are those wheels the Porsche Sport Designs or an aftermarket? It looks like they have polished lips in some of the pictures, which I really like.
Hey Brian,
They are stock Porsche Sport Designs and they do like polished lips. They are awesome wheels to look at but what a pain to clean!
My detail guy applied some wax to it after he has done too. They look really nice.
Ain't that the truth !!
I love looking at my car when it's clean but don't want to get it dirty. - However once it is dirty I REALLY love my car cause then I can really drive it !!!
Think I'll leave it dirty !
Sorry for the ignorance, but what exactly is the process with paint polishing. Is this similar to "wet sanding" ? How excatly does it remove the swirls.
Very nice job indeed! Beauty.
Cheers and safe driving.
