Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

For those of you with 18x11 in the rears, what is your offset? I am looking into a buying new shoes and wanted to know if these offsets will work on a 2001 C2? 18x8 with 50mm offset and 18x11 with 45mm offset Thanks

POST 2Original post

the 11" wheel with a 45 mm offset will not work on a narrow body Carrera. An 11" wheel with a 63 mm offset will, however.

POST 3Original post

Viken, will a 10" rear with a offset ET45 fit on the rear of a 996 C2?

POST 4Original post

I am not Viken, but here's what he would have said... The 45 mm offset 10" wheel will likely fit but may rub the outer fender edge as it will sit 20 mm (~3/4") farther out. With a lowered car, the likelihood of rubbing increases. Using a 265/35 tire instead of a 285/30 might help too.

POST 5Original post

Thank you Fill, that's my impression as well. My current wheels are ET65, with a 15mm spacer, which translates to a ET50. This means the ET45 wheel sticks out another 5mm, and I'll tell you, my current ET65/15mm spacer setup is already pushing it. Plus, the car is lowered on H&R coilovers.
