Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Since I installed my Fabspeed and have been winding it up a tad to hear the symphony better I'm getting 11.5 L / 100Km.

Suggestion
Measured and cakculated average mileage for me is 27-29 highway and never below 18 around town and that's using the rev limiter to remind me to shift out of the first 2 gears.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The reason I ask is that since my SC installation, my trip computer is reporting fantastic gas mileage, but when I check it against how far I'm going on a full tank of gas, there's been no change.
Hi Guys
Just a quick question for you all, I was talking with a Porsche service tech today, and i asked him what kind of Milage he was getting in his 02 c2. Well he told me he gets around 500 to 550 Kilometers(Canada), I was dumbfounded as my 04 c2 only gets 300 to 350.He said it could be a mass air problem , are any of you having the same issue as I ? I know it all depends on city and highway and how hard you drive the car, just looking for the norm here. Thanks
Paul
With my 3.4l C2, I usually get around 210 miles (~340 km) out of a tank, but that's mostly short-distance city / aggressive driving. I have gotten 320 miles (~520 km) out of a tank before, but that was entirely on the highway.
Those numbers translate to around 15-16 mpg for my everyday driving and about 24 mpg on the highway.
I get ~20-21 mpg, mostly freeways but with a bit of rush hour traffic. I think that translates to about 350 miles on a tank, but since I don't have the trip computer I end up re-tanking at ~300-320 miles.
Friday I took the fun road home (hill/canyon route), and I think I averaged 12-15 mpg.

I am getting around 10 mpg on my daily commute. This is with a 50/50 split between mountain and city driving. My goal is to never get above 12mpg.

Robyn, are you sure that's right? The reason I ask is that since my SC installation, my trip computer is reporting fantastic gas mileage, but when I check it against how far I'm going on a full tank of gas, there's been no change. (at least certainly no improvement, possibly a slight worsening) I think putting in new injectors has messed up the metering, which needs to be re-calibrated in order for the trip computer readings to be accurate.
Or, maybe there's a problem with my SC installation. I'd be interested in hearing what the experience of other SC owners is.

I average 16-17 mpg (about 240 miles/tank) in city/highway/local driving. Highway only I get over 20 mpg but I have a heavy foot and don't mind paying for it.....
Sorry to cause my American friend a math headach but use to get 460 'ish Km on a than of gas with 80% highway / 20% city. My trip meter was showing 10.6 L/ 100Km.
Since I installed my Fabspeed and have been winding it up a tad to hear the symphony better I'm getting 11.5 L / 100Km.
The way I look at it is that it's not a big monetary difference compare to the price of mods and the initiall decision to purchase the vehicule.
You should see what I have to pay to get my wife's Range Rover filled up (CAD$ 90) and it only get 400 Km...if I'm lucky...now that's serious gas consumption.
Just finish a 2400+ road trip with significant around town driving in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Grand Canyon, Moab and Grand Junction (CO). Average 26 mpg for the whole trip. Average speed was 51 mph. One flat tire which was a pia and about a 500$ expense.
when i used 2 go downtown and only city driving i'd get like 350-400.
now that the car is lighter and i do a lot of highway driving i can see roughly 530. maybe more if i really ease the car around..but wheres the fun in that.
Robyn, that can't be right.
At the track, I get single digits in both the old 996 & the GT3.
996 was 14-17, mostly city driving
GT3 low teens (12-15), also mostly city driving (20 on highway @ triple digit mph
)
You cannot go by the trip computer in most cars. I have never found one that is even close to accurate. Always higher than actual.
