Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would like to try some DEs but the thought of me spinning the car out or running into something is pretty scary..

In regards to the "19 - I basically have been using my targa to drive into NYC 4 times weekly, so performance/handling is not as important as ride comfort and thread wear.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I recently sold one of my Battle Rifles for 8K, What would you do to your 996 with the 8K ? Here's what I am thinking
EVOM Air Filter
New Wheels 19"
Silver Rings
What of performance upgrades, not sure what to do next ? help....
Performance mods
pss9.
SSK. I have the under car one
19 inch wheels will look better but handle worse.don't know how much you will feel
I like your wheels as is.
What about stereo?
Rear wing?
Evom sounds good, I don't know how much you will feel
My Wheels Are shoot, scratched, bumped from too many nights valet parking.. NYC horror, you know the deal. In regards to the "19 - I basically have been using my targa to drive into NYC 4 times weekly, so performance/handling is not as important as ride comfort and thread wear.
19's ride harder than 18's I have been told, but they look nicer. Wear is something I don't know, probubly more dependant on the tire you choose, although that choice will be narrower.
Wheels...I like many but these are a fav
I depends what your objective is, if I was looking for performance my first choice would be a supercharger, headers/exhaust.
If I was after looks with miniscule performance gains then I would shoot for wheels, intake/chip combo.
Good luck with your choice and let us know what your final outcome is.
wheels and aero, pretty much BLING
supercharger would be nice too but ya gotta ask yourself, why? are you power hungry [nothing against it
, i am
]. personally i would get the SC for the better gas mileage
Aero definitely (and wheel repair). Then some DE's or the PDE.
You don't need more HP or performance but you do need to learn how to handle what you've get at the highest level.
*footnote*
"you" refers to anybody in general not RJ specifically.
I was told that the tires for larger wheels generally wear faster, all things being equal (i.e. P-Zeros for 17 inch & 18 inch wheels) because the tread is thinner to make up for the larger wheel in the effort to maintain the same overall diameter. Does that sound right?
I would like to try some DEs but the thought of me spinning the car out or running into something is pretty scary.. Insurance won't cover that right?
At least they didnt for the bikes on track days..
Insurance will cover DE's since it is not racing it is driver education (instructors, etc.). But you need to check with your insurance company to make sure.
19 inch wheels are heavier than 18 inchers so they reduce performance due to increased rotating mass and higher unsprung weight. 19 inch tires do not wear faster than the same tire in 18 inch size. They do ride harder because the sidewall is shorter and less flexible than the 18 incher. The 19 inch tires will feel more responsive because the shorter sidewall has less flex, you trade ride for improved handling.
Rgds,
depens on the 19" wheels you select... if you go for the champion RG5 monolite.. the 19" wheels are much lighter than the carrera 5-spoke "lightweights"

RJ...depending on the speeds you will drive it is not wise to put on such a large wing with those types of downforce properties and not balance it out with the front spoiler made to go with it. Your car can become very unstable at speed.
However, if you don't get to speed or track the car, then my vote is to BLING IT UP BABY!!!!!!
Can't wait to see the final pics
