I thought about that too but even after i've set the bass+treb for the cd, cd changer, radio it somehow gets reset to zero the next day.

So, you can set bass/treble to the desired levels while a CD is playing, go to the radio, and the settings are completely different.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. It seems that the sound settings(bass, treb) always resets itself to 0 when I get in the car. I drive the car maybe every other or third day and keep having to reset the bass+treb. Is that happening to anyone else or am I just not doing it right... thanks

Not sure this is the cause of your issue but I thought I had a similar problem. What I discovered was that each audio source (radio, cd, etc.) stores separate bass/treble settings. So, you can set bass/treble to the desired levels while a CD is playing, go to the radio, and the settings are completely different. You must set bass/treble for each audio source.

Do your radio station presets get cleared as well? There is a wire that powers the "memory". If all the settings are getting cleared including the radio memory then there might be a short.

I've got a situation where the CD player just stops sometimes. I have to switch to FM then back to CD to get it started. When that happens, the player looses all its setting. It's only happened twice in the six weeks I've owned the car.
