Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

LED TAIL LIGHTS
BLACK EXHUAST TIPS
WHEELS GLOSS BLACK
TURBO FRONT BUMPER + LIP
LOWERED TO GT SPECS
Your Nose is GT style i think, mine is Turbo
the spoiler is the GT OEM FACTORY WING it came as an option on the car, its on the original window sticker, as "exclusive Option"
They are 996 LED tailights, on amazon for $300 very easy to fit, all you need is a flasher relay if your 996 is 2002-2004 if its 1999-2001 its just plug and play!
can you confirm the reference number for the flash part ? I think I will give another shot at ordering the amazon led tail light. my first order came broken and I had to return them ;( they looked great aside of that.
I like the lower painted lips on your bumper, make it look even lower. great looking car !
Did you install the side skirt yourself ? or they came with the car as well ?
Side skirts were also OEM- original owner ordered it with that option from Porsche as well as the GT spoiler.
here is the REVIEW i wrote including the Part number for the flashers
This review is from: Redlines Red Smoke LED Tail Lights for Porsche Carrera 996 99-04 (Automotive)
I ordered these LED lights for my 2002 911 and they were packaged perfect and arrived within 2 days, not sure what all the fuss here is about. If you have a 1999-2001 Porsche 911 these will not give you any error codes- If you have a 2002-2004 you need to just buy an LED flasher RELAY, its about $20 and you exchange it with the one in your car, just unplug yours and plug the LED relay in- thats it- the relay is near the clutch, turn your turn signal on, and you will hear it clicking on the left, reach up and touch the relays and you will actually feel the clicking, then you pull it out and install the LED FLASHER RELAY IN- it doesn't come with the lights so you need to order one, i got mine from a place called superbrightleds. com. part #CF13GL-02
cool I think I'll order a new set with that relay thingy
thanks for the heads up on the relay, valuable piece of information to avoid the hyperflash nicely
Phil.....what is this review you did on Amazon? Did you order one set and now ordering another?
Oct 27, 2010
The quality of built is really poor, but the packaging was the real problem, the tail light were literally bumping into each other during the whole trip. I am even amazed that only a small piece was broken..the wiring was flimsy at best, and with my 2002 911, I had the hyper flashing problem.
yes I did order a pair, they arrived broken.
I was a bit pissed because
1- they arrived broken, packaging totally loose
2- their bulb 'butt' was too sharp and I broke a tongue on my wiring harness when I rotated their thing in my harness.
3- I had the hyper flashing
But I liked the outside appearance, so I'll give it another go. Do you think I was too harsh on my amazon review
@Dell: Thanks for the exhaust tip, installed them yesterday they look fantastic!
lol, dude that was your review?? HORRIBLE REVIEW OFCOURSE! they came perfect for me...you should have contacted them and gave them another go- hyper flashing is normal so is also the ABS ERROR on 2002-2004 but once you buy the relay your golden!
H&R Coil Overs-lowered to GT SPECS no rubbing
I placed an order for another set, if they come in one piece, I'll update my review
really mine were literally hitting each other in the box. you make me feel bad now ..rghhhh
BTW how is life with the super low turbo front lip ? looks great but man that is low ! I bet you have better mpg than a prius with that thing !
Looks good... Quick question 4 u, when turn-signals are on, the flasher lights are yellow or white in color? They should be flashing yellow, right? Could you confirm? Thanks,
Barley any issues with the bumper, its not as low as you think. MPG sucks, i think i get 18, but i drive very aggressive specially since i put in the Cold air intake K&N it howls and sounds so good after 4,000RPM so i tend to drive in that range, lol
I read your review before i ordered, and i was like screw it, i'll take my chances, its amazon, so your guaranteed your money back anyways..but the box came SO WELL PACKAGED, i was surprised! it shipped from Amazon, so i think maybe amazon does the shipping for that redline guy now or something..some sellers can do that-
2002
one of the reason I gaze a tough feedback it that I wanted for my point to come across... they might be packing them better now
I ordered another set, we'll see how they come
Phil, now that i've given you some info and revived your want for the LEDS' here is what i want from you... WHAT IS THE PSE HACK, what do they do? how do i get it done? is it "too loud" will it be ok with my Cold Air Intake or will it ruin the sound the intake puts out., price range? ..ect...i dont want a rediculous loud sound, just maybe a bit louder, just a bit.. give me the 411 Philly Phil
Lol,
The PSE hack is Porsche Sport Exhaust on the cheap, pretty much you weld a pipe in between the inlet and outlet pipes of your original mufflers. Not all exhaust shop can do it as very few actually weld on stainless steel. so you will probably have to buy the pipe yourself and find a guy willing to do it. it is easy for who know what he is doing. Best is to send them to FisterD for a perfect job.(

)
They are absolutely ok sound for the road, because the sound only goes when you open up the throttle it is a MANDATORY update, if not the stock exhaust sounds like nothing.
I even tried the muffler bypass pipes a bit loud but really doable, those fully remove the mufflers but the cat converter dampen the sound pretty well. that sound like those big V8 with magnaflow exhaust and stuff
I hope this answer your question
Cold air intake.. I am really not into lowering my dust protection as I live in an area with a lot of sand/dust storm, I want maximum protection again that. so stock air filter for me.
