Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So its been a while since I posted a vid, I found this RL member who has quite a few. I hope the link works. Its long, and there are others but I was on the edge of my seat and the sound is awesome - sorry its not a 996 but he is following a GT3 PS Hairy @ 30:00!!! http://vimeo.com/4006176

POST 2Original post

Would be nice if the link was a youtube or other that allows going forward to check.....sheeze I can't typpe over the video noise behind this window hehehe. Yah seems quite a few prized their cars more than bumping with him in turns. He didn't seem to be carrying much rpms in turns but would go for it in the straights I was wondering why he didn't seem to be going very fast at first but he made up for it when he had somebody fast to chase. I think that was his main thing playing out there just waiting for somebody to chase.

The gearing in the RS America sucks. It's also not cheap to rebuild so anywhere you can save rpm's you do.

POST 4Original post

Seriously a high speed track. This driver has nerves of steel!

Wasn't that bad. Real easy to recover bouncing off both the outside cars to get straight if one of them taps you out of control then they both get screwed. Besides the 30 minute mark there were other places he was setting it up for failure if the other guy didn't give way to save his own car. I hope he doesn't wind up tumbling some day when another racer already has a back up car better than the one he is racing. I'm not saying I would of had his tail when he sacrificed the safety of his car cutting into turns on guy a few time out there I'm not saying I'd give him a hard tap to his rear side when giving me a choice of brake and shift taking me out of the racing line. Not me, no not me

Larry had every bit of faith when splitting the two cars for two reason. First, those cars were NOT in the same race class so there was no need for keeping him from passing. Sure, they were racing their own race but there would have been no benefit to not ceding the position. Second, that is NOT how PCA Club Racing operates. There is a reason we have a strict 13/13 rule. Maybe you are confusing it with NASA?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have no doubt it was safe, but it was 3 cars wide (albeit on the fairly straight section of track) and he was well within the means of passing, all agreed.... I am aloso sure there was more room than the camera shows Still, it looks a little intense for a few moments Anyone no what camera mount he has, it doesnt move with the car at all... stays stable while the car bounces - cool!

POST 9Original post

Having raced at Road Atlanta I can tell you that his sphincter clenched tight during that move. I had one similar to that at Road Atlanta going into T1 in the rain. See attached pic. That is me on the inside in the red RSA hoping to god the turn sticks and I don't collect the 944Cup and Cayman! And yes, I did have to change my shorts after that race

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That is a great shot and for those who think lapping days = racing... it aint even close!! (though I have never raced I do know that)

Larry did great and has a pretty nice top end pull. I was figuring he was taking it kind of easy at first waiting for his tires to warm up except for when he had somebody else to chase. I didn't think there was anything wrong with him passing between the two cars. Nice wind turbulance buffet finishing off the pass. Makes it look like he got contact. His video with engine sounds is a great relief.
