Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The weights would have been nice info, especially if it was close to running lightweight wheels.
Leading evidence: 'Run lightweight wheels' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run lightweight wheels' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just got done last night with my new StopTech 4 wheel brake kit!
The install took about 4 hours total with brake bleeding. A little info kit -
The kit is 4 piston front and 4 piston rear. The front rotors are 355x32mm and the rear is 332x32mm. They include Axxis Ultimate brake pads and steel braided lines. I choose to go with slotted rotors as I do alot of track days. Serious racing as you know will crack drilled rotors. The Axxis pad is a great street and weekend race pad, when the time comes, some Pagid Oranges will be placed in there.
I have had this kit on my WRX, RX8, M3, and EVO VIII, and when it was all done and bleed, the stopping power was what I expected. I have not done the 80-5mph break in yet. We finished at 10pm last night
But the feel is solid.
Got any questions...Post them up!
StopTechs ROCK! I had them on my last track car. By far, the easiest brake caliper to swap pads. Loved'em. Not to mention, their rotors wear like diamond! A friend of mine has a set on his Audi and he has had the same result. Good stuff, no question.
BTW- Follow the break-in procedures from StopTech TO THE LETTER. A friend of mine that did not follow them only did a couple of stops, lost breaking one day. He just baout shat himself as a semi came inches from his bumper.

What are the weight differences stock v. Stoptech and Stoptech v. Brembo GT same specs.
rotor to rotor and caliper to caliper? I haven't been able to find any info on that.
BTW why does stoptech charge such a premium for alternative colors other than red so greatly, i.e. even black is more, which struck me as silly. Especially given that there shouldn't be an inventory disposal concern, i.e. having black sit on the shelves.
BTW I would go with pagid S pads or yellows, for the street over the axxis. They do make that compound for that specific backing plate FWIW. It would be nice to be able to order the kit with those pads, or in the alternative recieve a discount for not including the pads.
Deadeye - This kit is much larger then the factory setup. The steel braided lines provide a better braking feel, the slotted rotors provide better venting as proven with the Turner Motorsport BMW Champion race car, the calipers are designed to have NO flex and have a larger piston diamter for more surface area breaking. Its not how many pistons, its what it grabs. As I have gotten in this conversation berfore, comparing to the full race Brembo's, they are pretty equal, to an enthusiast kit or the factory Porsche Brakes like I removed, these are far superior.
SPR - I did not weigh them. On the HAND feel level, the caliper was lighter and the rotor was a bit lighter but not that much. My originals were drilled as well. FYI. Stoptech DOES NOT charge extra for Red, Black, or Silver Calipers. Blue and Yellow are extra only. We can get those pads with the kits in exchange for the Ultimates. I like the Ultimates. The Pagid Oranges I had in my EVO VIII StopTech kit were loud and noisy, but on the track, I could break your neck stopping from 140mph
Jasclass - I did not post a pic of me LOL
Interesting I could have sworn I saw an additional charge for black calipers, maybe it was for a different manufacturer I guess. Cool that you can specify different compounds/ manufactuers
Also cool on the lighter weight overall. This is the issue with adding the turbo brakes etc.
Bummer. The weights would have been nice info, especially if it was close to running lightweight wheels. That's the major downside of the Porsche OE ones. From what I've read they're heavy pigs. Keep us posted on how they are after break-in.
