Suggestion
Well they recommend the Bilstein because they sell it, I have read good things about it, if you dont mind making the adjustments on a street car then go for it, the Porsche setups are comfortable as well, far from uncomfortable.

I spoke with a local shop and they recommended the bilstein, over the x74 and others.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Ok, ill rely on all of you for input here. I want to begin upgrading my C4 for handling mostly, and need advice. What should i concentrate on first? Suspension? Sway Bars? This is a stock car now and the sway back and forth on windy roads is the issue i would like to fix first.
What would you all suggest?
Thank you for the input. I spoke with a local shop and they recommended the bilstein, over the x74 and others. More adjustable as the driver gets more comfy with the ride.

I am so pissed that i let the dealer talk me out of white..by far the best colour for the 996.IMHO. now i have an origanal Artic silver,,how many guys can say that........Oh yea i went with H R lowering springs and some bilstein shocks
Yes, they do sell the bilstein, but they would put in anything i ask. WHen i asked about the differences between what you suggested and what they said, basically it came down to personal prefrence. They had said that most of thier customers ended up removing the others and installing the bilstein. Adjustablity was the big thing. I will seek further input from everyone as to experiences either way.
But so far, its Bilstein suspension, a b/m short shift kit and new tires. :-) And yes, i am glad i got white, though it is not as flashy as the black or yellow.
well, the way it was explained to me was that they will set it at amatuer for me, and i can change it as i feel fit in the future. I dont want to have to constantly mess with it, but the body roll and the sensations of the cars *** flying out behind me has got to stop. I used to have a Boxster so that is what i am comparing it to.
