Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Test systems and both are working fine' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check battery condition' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

The car goes in for 15k service soon so I'll have them check fault codes.

And what does it do, go into a check mode whereby after a certain period of reading the reference sensors, once the computer's happy that all is well, it turns off the lights?

For obvious reasons, you don't get the PSM light, but it appears the ABS light behaviour is the same and it would make sense that I get the PSM light also, since both systems run off the same reference sensors.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just put a set of H&R coilovers and GT3 sway bars on my '01 996. The setup is pretty stiff, as evidenced by the fact that when I go in and out of driveways (which I have to do at an angle now), I can feel one of the front wheels come off of the ground and then land.
Today, leaving a client's driveway, I slowly rolled out, but traffic was coming, so I stopped. One of the fronts was off the ground, because when I took off, I felt it land. Which means that for a second, one front was not revolving while the rears were.
Almost immediately, I got the ABS and PSM warning lights. I stopped at another client's about 1.5 miles later, had a meeting, and when I turned the car back on, the lights were on, then went out before I got out of his parking lot.
I tested both systems and both are working fine.
So, can that momentary difference in wheelspin (front to rear) throw this fault? And what does it do, go into a check mode whereby after a certain period of reading the reference sensors, once the computer's happy that all is well, it turns off the lights? If so, will I still be able to pull the fault code out of the memory?
The same thing happens with my GT3 when a wheel lifts off the ground. I sometimes but not always get an ABS warning light. IMO, the ABS CU, which monitors the wheel speed sensors, detects that one sensor is signaling a low or zero speed and throws a warning light, under the assumption that the sensor has failed. Once the car is restarted and the sensor reports consistent speed, the warning light is turned off. This is normal behavior. I believe the fault code is cleared also, but I am not sure.
The battery is good. mds - you're the second GT3 owner who has told me they've seen this. For obvious reasons, you don't get the PSM light, but it appears the ABS light behaviour is the same and it would make sense that I get the PSM light also, since both systems run off the same reference sensors. The car goes in for 15k service soon so I'll have them check fault codes. Once I find out I'll update here.
