Yes, Tim is now a Lifer.
Recently Tim posted that he was leaving Rennlist and this started a thread of epic proportion that had us all sending Tim our best regards and most of us asked him to stick around, It would not be the same around here without Tim's helpful attitude, quick wit and militant demands for photos from misguided newbies
Several people wanted to chip in and renew your membership but I think this is a better idea, Now you are a LIFETIME member, YOU CANT LEAVE!

Tim, you have to know that I received many, many emails and PMs from Rennlisters who wanted to support you. I was going to arrange for you to have a two year membership, then buy some nicer wheels for my car with all the money I collected from the other suckers, I mean posters. Now, Marc had to go and get you a lifetime membership! I guess I have to put up with you and my OEM wheels.

While I'm a sporadic contributor, but frequent lurker on this forum and the DE forum, Tim's posts often add a smile to my day... I couldn't be more pleased to see this honor bestowed - no one I can think of deserves it more!!!

eDoug - the only reason you don't what me to have a "license to kill" the Newbies, is because you haven't yet reached the required post count of 250 to no longer be considered a Newbie. So if I did have a "license to kill," you would still be fair game!
Ed - maybe you didn't know that they slap three sets on shackles on the "Lifers." Damn, the shackles are already so tight that they are beginning to chafe my wrists, my ankles and my ba....... well, you can probably figure out the third location.

Great news!!!!!!!! You know with the prices of early 996's these days if everyone that responded to Tim's post of leaving chipped in a few bucks we could probably get him a car. But that might be a little excessive.

You failed to mention that my golf clubs got stolen out of my garage in NC last May and I discovered that on one of my "conjugal visits" back to NC (OK maybe that last part was TMI). Beside, you are too good for me and I would embarrass myself because I can assure you that I am no longer a 1.3 handicap index.
Beside that, you are too busy working to hang out with me. You should hire me to lighten your work load, then we could "hang out some." It's a perfect solution.... you would have more time to hang out and I would have the money to hang out.... because "hanging out" costs money.
