This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, The driver's side 1/4 window on my Cab has developed a strange quirk. When I put the 1/4 window's all the way up, it stops briefly in the "completely closed" point and then backs off and opens up about 2 to 3 inches. The passenger's side 1/4 window does not do this. I know it's probably a sensor somewhere. Does anyone know where it is, part #, and if this is a DIY type of fix? As a workaround, I have to quickly stop putting the window up when it is pretty much closed so that it doesn't back off again. Thanks for any info.

POST 2Original post

It's a microswitch under the rear flap. I think right side looking from the front. Do a search on renntech and/or ask Loren.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Scouser! Thanks for the reply! Just so there's nothing lost in the English-to-English translation ;-) the "flap", is that the part of the softtop that opens/closes or the leather section just fore of where the softtop would be in the down position? I took a quick look-see over lunch but didn't immediately see anything that looked like a micro-switch (I'm an EE too by the way...). The search on renntech turned up lots of threads about microswitch issues with the softtop but not the window. Maybe I didn't search so well... ;-( Again, thanks!

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oh great. I just was set up to try and tackle this issue on my own when it stopped happening on its own. Now that's German engineering, a car that "heals" itself! :-) I guess I'll just have to wait for it to break again before I try to fix it.
