Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Leading evidence: 'inner side' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'inner side' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Stupid Question
Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I hand wash my 40th Anniversary 996 at least once a week with Meguire's wash. Unfortunately, we have had a ton of rain in the Tri-state area and it has made it very difficult to find time to hand wash over the past 2 weeks. I know this is sacrelidge, but are you able to take the 996 through a car wash?? I am concerned about the rear rims being to wide for the car wash track. I would appreciate your advice.

POST 2Original post

I would not do this. You will probably damage the wheels and that will be very expensive to repair if that's possible.

POST 3Original post

Better to leave it dirty than risk automatic car wash damage. Just be sure to remove any bird crap immediately.

POST 4Original post

I take mine through every once in a while. Obviously some car washes are better than others but as long as you are careful, the wheel damage should not be a factor. Also, it depends on how particular you are about your car and what color car you have. I would say no way to taking a black or darker color through any car wash.

POST 5Original post

Find a Touchless Wash. A lot of gas stations have them here in Minnesota. Nothing touches your car but the water. Have been using them for 5 years no problem.

POST 7Original post

Totally depends on the car wash. Some of them are actually ok.

POST 8Original post

The only thing I might be concerned about is the soap stripping off all of the wax on my car. But then, for an extra two bucks, you can add the "fancy pants spray on wax/sealer" feature.

POST 9Original post

do NOT use rails.. i have a nice fancy carved flat spot all the way around my right rear rim because of this..worst part is its gettin dirts so the wheels are light silver and the line is grey :@
