Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just got a 996 3.4l motor p car. Been very hapy with it, but noticed other day that the car has problems during accelaration. At 5500 RPM the car seems to loose power, like for one second, and at 5900, it continues to grow fast. Question is. Is this normal? Have you got the same power "hole" with your car? WOT

POST 2Original post

You may need to replace your MAF sensor. It happened to me too. I would lose power for a split second around 5500rpm. This happened consistently and three weeks later, the check engine light came on. Cost me $400 to replace the sensor and the problem went away.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Slam I had a Maf failure with my S4, and was nothing like that. I would be non constant from 3500 untill redline 6500. I did not get a check engine yet. And the computer from the dealer is not showing anything... thanks for the info. WOT
